Count me as a victim of this bug as well. Before the update, it was spot on ever 10 minutes. Now I'm seeing 1 to 4 hour gaps and inconsistent exercise readings.

According to MyFitnessPal, this is how many calories I have left to eat today:

My Apple Watch has decided that the 45 mins of CrossFit I did this morning burned over 400,000 calories.

It's a good job that Friday is cheat day then :)

How do you enter the calories consumed???

I'm also having this issue, I hope they get it fixed soon. Anyone know if a complete reset clears the problem?

i'd like to thank all early adopters for helping iron out the major bugs before i get apple watch v.2

You're welcome. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the hell out of my watch for an entire year before you do and realizing that these "bugs" are rare and not a big deal.

My notifications are all over the place too with .01. Unpaired and repaired.....still not great - well, as good as 1.0

Good. Both watches here are all over the place for readings now. I can't wait, no panic but might as well state we see the same thing. I will get readings for each 10 minutes twice then it will be an hour before I see anything again.

Our exercise times are almost non existent now as well... oh well... more reason to sit on the couch? Apple you are making me gain weight...

I only kid. Over all I have felt more active since strapping on my watch. I could really go for some third party bands from reputable case makers though!

You can buy all the version, except v1. Thats what I did with iPhone.
Anecdotal, therefore meaningless.

Here is another anecdote, generally people who shun V1 can't afford to buy V1, V2, V3 etc..

They will miss the money.

It's a software bug that wasn't present 4 days ago. Has nothing to do with hardware.

Also what izzle22 said. Hardware updates create a whole set of new issues. So I'm very happy with my watch having only a small software bug that will be fixed in a week or two.

not just that ... it also counted only 2 minutes of my 30 minutes workout which likely has something to do with the HR Data

I was going to ask what difference it makes if the pulse is taken at varying intervals. Then I saw this and understood.

Thanks for post

I couldn't find this at first, but then I found Timothy287's post on this thread and I was able to turn it on.

I had to go to the Health app, Heath Data tab, back to the main nav, then All / Heart Rate / Show on Dashboard.

BTW, I've noticed that my battery life which was always good is now twice as good. Used to be down to 30-40% on both watch and phone at the end of the day, and now I'm only down to 60-70%. Sweet. My phone has been out of the charger since about 8am, and now at 4:15pm it is still at 88% and the watch is at 86% (removed from charger at the same time).

Evidently their test subjects did not sweat during a workout because every time I'm at the gym and start to sweat, it shows my heart rate around 80. The machine shows anywhere from 150-180. My resting heart rate is around 75.

Yes! I have noticed that when I sweat a lot is when the watch starts to lose my heart rate and if it gets it back, it is like half of what it should be. I also have the watch pretty tight so it's not slipping and sliding around. Pretty lame for them to expect a heart rate monitor to not be sweaty to work correctly. Guess all us sweaters are out of luck?!

Way to go man! You should write a new diet or exercise book. That is impressive but I'd hate to see the before (yesterday) and after (today) picture. I'd guess you were the size of the asteroid that killed the Dinosaurs yesterday and today you can probably hide behind a flag pole.

Apple's SW & QA team needs some house cleaning. It has become pretty bad.
