DvdPlayer is also very cool! It said about some new scratched disk technology on the apple website...

I just tested some dvd's that didn't work anymore and what do you know...
THEY WORK PERFECTLY  :D

thank you apple!

What do you mean, anyone please confirm? Mac OS X has been able to show this for ages and ages.

Yes, I knew. I ask him to confirm the build number. Because I have a copy of Leopard in my hand now, build 9A581 and want to know whether it's the lastest build.

Well if you have the install DVD of Leopard you should be pretty sure it is the latest version...

But to answer your question, the seeded/pirated copy with the build number 9A581 is the final version of Leopard.

I dont like the new icons. Didnt play with it much but thats about it right now.

O but i do love the new look on Leopards UI.

with magnification on, the dock and stacks have one annoying bug. When you have the dock magnified and open a stack and go up in it, the dock springs back to non-magnified making it look ugly :) the dock should stay magnified until you close the stack!

This bug was also in the retail release of Tiger. If mag was turned on and you opened a contextual menu for a dock item, the dock would not shrink back down after you closed the menu.
But mag is for n00bs anyway ;)

My complaints so far:

Need key combo to invoke Spaces. It defaults to F8, and is changeable only to F# keys. On a laptop, that won't fly, as I use F12 for Dashboard, F11 for show all windows. The rest are assigned to screen brightness, etc.

Allow for customization of Time Machine backup times. For example, when I plug in my drive, it says it will backup in one hour... but I want it to start the minute I plug it in. Maybe the option is there, but I can't find it.

The dock is choppy at times, meaning when you move your pointer over the dock quickly, the top of the icon that doesn't overlap the dock is 'cut off' and moves a little bit more slowly than the rest of the icon that does overlap the dock.

press fn-F# and you'll have the F-buttons that are assigned to brightness and so on... :)

Agreed - I remember this bothering me at the time. Apple sorted it out via one of the updates, so I presume they will do exactly the same with Leopard at some point.

The new default folder icons (sort of blue recycled cardboard?) are very odd, as I think David Pogue points out in his NYT review.

Try using Apple+1, Apple+2, etc to bring up spaces 1 and 2 and so on. I heard this in the tour posted on Apple's site so I can't test this out but it seemed like a good quick solution in terms of a hotkey. Try it out and let us know :)

Edit: Nvm, as maverick808 has pointed out, it's control+1, control+2, etc

It's control+1, control+2, and so on. But yeah, this is a good solution.

I think i remember reading if you control click on the Time Machine icon you can force a backup manually.

This is very annoying to me, hope there is some workaround. I have my apps folder in the dock as a stack. When I click it shows the first 79 and says "35 more" in the bottom right. You have to click that which opens the apps folder if you want something not found in those 79.
