So I just purchased a m2 pro Mac mini as part of my upgrade cycle of 3 Mac minis that I use for all my fun and work.

I will be laying my good old 2012 to rest.
I will have a 2018 with 32ram and 1tb ssd
I will have a 2021 m1 basic model 8gb ram and 256 gb ssd
I will have a 2023 m2 pro 16gb ram and 1tb ssd.

That is all background info. For my question. My 2018 has Ventura 13.1 and I want it to be at Ventura 13.5.1

I am about ti update it and I am interested in people running a 2018 with Ventura 13.5.1 any bugs or issues or should I just do the update.

I want to use this 2018 till next year so I am hoping that 13.5.1 is trouble free for a year. TIA

You have 13.1 running, so must have sorted out any apps that need updates for Ventura. So just do the update to 13.5.1 - it has bug and security fixes.

Note that there will be a 13.6 in a week or two (it is in beta now). You will want to update to 13.6 as it will presumably be the last Ventura version and most importantly will continue to get some security fixes for a couple of years.

I have a 2017 MBP running Ventura 13.2.1 and would like to upgrade to 13.5 is this compatible with my Mac. Normally compatibility does not stop until a major upgrade new OS ie whole numbers like 14.0 etc. but I seem unable to upgrade it??

Supported compatibility only changes with major versions. All 2017 MBPs are supported for all macOS 13.x versions.
