Driving or owning a GM car is the main issue lol

Yeah exactly I laughed when the article suggested GM might issue a firmware update. Don’t hold your breath waiting on that one.

Probably not their issue to fix if it worked with previous phones. Not with a firmware update, anyway.

Yeah and the GM hotspot no longer automatically connects to iOS WiFi either since last year…annoying AF to say the least.

Not only in cars, my wireless charger stopped working with my iphone15 pro max after the update and is still not working on 17.2 beta 2 . But the charger still works with all of my other phones. Since I don't have another wireless charger I cant verify that my wireless charger is working at all. but, I place the phone in the charger and it "start" charging. I don't know when or why it stop.
[UPDATE]
My charging issue got fixed after las night I installed the 17.2 beta 3.
To test the update, I placed the phone in the charger and this morning the phone was fully charged.
H.

People use wireless car chargers? Notoriously no good. Just a marketing scheme tin charge you more. Until MagSafe is available, I wouldn’t expect it to work.
This, frankly. Wireless charging standards change too quickly and people drive cars for many years. Wireless charging was an option I omitted on my Chevy in 2022. A bit of Velcro and a MagSafe puck took the place of it - easy, reliable, and UPGRADEABLE.

Exactly , buying the lasest iphone but driving a Chevy Traverse , those products do not line up. Fyi not a fan of american cars. Everyone knows if want a relidable car you buy a Toyota or a Honda.
I would not want to to leave my iPhone in my droptop.😉

Acura owners like myself had issues since day 1. Purchased a 2023 MDX Advance that would charge any of my family iPhone's. 12 pro max, 13 pro max and 14 pro max, just got the 15 pro max and same issue. Took it to Acura numerous times and they finally tell me its on apples's end.

So something bigger going on than specific cars... I've got a portable wireless charger, a Tzumi model 5751 wireless 'fast' charger on my desk, and used for a couple years with airpods pro. Tested just now, and begins to charge right away. Charger's fine.

My iPhone 15 Pro when I got it in September would charge on it, though with a bit of wrangling of the position to align the coils (It doesn't have any magnetic alignment, and the camera bump I'm thinking at some angles causes the phone to rise a bit, and not have a good solid connection). As I've gone through 17.1, 17.2 betas, the connectivity chances have been less and less. None of the 17.2 betas have once got my phone charging wirelessly.

Is Relidable like Reusable and Resealable?

This explains why Hondas and Toyotas exclusively use Tupperware plastics for their interiors.
