Apple once coveted for their software and attention to detail has fallen.

Still, notifications on my lock screen from wake, have squared off corners for a second before rounding off like they should have been from the start.

Siri is a steaming pile of 💩

HomeKit - OG homepods, you get to repeat yourself twice!

Keyboard click noise bug - you all know this one. Since the beginning of time!
Good joke.

Apple's software was ALWAYS buggy.

Apple is foremost a hardware company, software have never been their strength.

Software is what makes Apple, Apple. It’s the whole software designed specifically for the hardware and working as a cohesive ecosystem of devices that is their key strength. You can’t get that anywhere else because no one else makes the full stack the way Apple does.

No software is ever without bugs. It’s just impossible.
Who said there is software without bugs?

Apple could never get simple stuff done software wise. I still prefer to use their software but it was always a buggy mess.

I cringe when I see people talking about how amazing it was in Steve Jobs times.

Bugs like “1 item to sync” not updating for a month in Photos happens to me already for a decade or longer lmao.

Waking up and seeing empty keychain, iCloud drive algorithm being such a joke that I have lost tons of files thanks to it, and million other bugs that I can’t remember now.

Companies like Dropbox are doing this 100x better.

At least Safari is good now, few years ago it was unusable.

I’m sorry you’ve experienced those bugs. I guess I must be lucky as I haven’t.

That's interesting. Usually Apple enables iCloud options without my permission after an update. Have they seen the light? :)

Apple really needs to do something about that and make it easier to clear or reset your device or your Apple ID sign-in without blowing away everything.

They act like it's no big deal, then you've got to spend all afternoon re-entering all your cards into Apple Wallet on your phone and watch, calling banks to verify them, re-ordering them on the Apple Watch display because there's no interface to do it from the iPhone, hope iMessage doesn't get borked like it often does when you sign out/in, and re-set up the fickle Wi-Fi calling "activation" on all your other Apple devices.

TIL I can re-order the cards on my Apple Watch.

We need one entire year of nothing new added to iOS, just focusing on optimization and bug fixes. iOS Snow Leopard, or iOS High Sierra.

Soon the only ones in the company that will even remember that happened will be Cook, Schiller, and Cue. And they are clearly not interested.

Hair Force One might but he only wants to make short films now.

It's a real issue folks...I'm a victim, lol. However, when I check iCloud backup details on my iPhone, it is backing up. Still getting the error message when I try to turn on iCloud backup.

I did, just a week ago. A TurboTax document It worked fine. And others a while ago.
So the basic rule for backups: test and retest. (lesson from over 50 years of it/computer management)
Well, I tested and it failed. I tested again and it failed. Like I said it works for some things that are simple like text files evidently TurboTax documents, but it fails regularly on anything more complicated.

Even celebs are complaining about this issue you would think apple would address it or speak out about it after a week of having this issue.

Just. curious. What error message did you see

Could it be caused by a network malfunction with intermittent and repeated outages on both macOS Ventura and iOS 16?

Just ask Siri to do a backup for you.

Me: Hey, Siri. Back up my iPhone.

Siri: I'm not sure I understand.

🤣
Siri says that to nearly everything I ask--goes silent when asked again--then disappears abruptly!!
Takes screenshots no problem..I broke it few weeks after purchase 1.5 years back.
I've cleared Siri cache & stored data multiple times to no avail.
