I get that you can resize the ‘screen’ in your space and that’s an interesting asset, but honestly I can’t imagine sitting through an entire sports game having this stuck to my face.
It sounds to me like you don't get it. There is no screen in your space to resize. You see things at their real size. This is not like watching a 3D movie in the theater.

Comfort could be an issue. I don't like wearing my VR headset for extended passive experiences.

And then there’s the social aspect. If you’re with friends, you’re not going to share the experience in the same manner.
It may not work as well for in person gatherings, but it could enable you to watch a game with others that can't be physically present. I've watched movies with friends who live in another country, in a VR movie theater.

I am still surprised they didn't try to get the exclusive rights to the Eras tour by Taylor Swift to show off the immersive experience. It would have been the perfect opportunity during the initial launch
I’d be more interested if it could create the experience of The Sphere. Blows away any other venue I’ve ever been to. It isn’t even close.

This is all five of us moment!

Let us enjoy our LIVE Lakers games in peace! I am sooooo excited! I hope the quality is much better than it is on my Quest.
Is the Quest experience good enough that when watching *normal* TV you are very disappointed?

The idea of a very good immersive experience is something that I would begin to consider purchasing a unit.

Considering there are more variants of The Life Of A Showgirl than COVID-19 and Swifties are buying all versions of them, I am pretty sure they would have bought an  Vision Pro just for the Eras Tour

The venn diagram overlap between people who have a subscription to a Spectrum internet plan or Spectrum SportsNet+, live in Southern California, Southern Nevada, or Hawaii, are a Lakers fan, and own a Vision Pro cannot be a large number. Like maybe 2,000-3,000 people tops?

Too bad it’s beyond most reach for most people. Apple needs to bring the price down
The high price makes it a worse product than it could be even for people who can easily afford it. Why will developers make software and content for it when they can't recoup your costs from the small userbase?

Maybe consider a lower-end, non-Prosumer-catering Vision headset which was apparently cancelled (which makes sense just like there isn’t a non-pro desktop tower), the price seems to be holding up well to the Pro Display XDR considering how much compromises have been made to try and be cheaper instead of cheaper AND (overall) better.

Samsung’s upcoming solution will be a much needed litmus test compared to the non-standalone and increased primer headsets that have increased their costs more than anything at the prosumer level.

…It’s a prosumer product: The audience are devs themselves and known prosumer audiences such as enterprise users.

Majority of the target audiences are making the apps/content themselves with highest end premade content for the medium being best represented by the headset.

I would love Apple Immersive content for Formula 1 races! I don't care for basketball.
The Lapz app is awesome but F1 won't let them sign on any new users. Not VR and the resolution isn't 8k, but having a giant main screen and a driver cam or two off to the side with the ability to hear all of the driver audio for drivers you select is awesome. You need a F1 subscription to watch it. By far my favorite way to watch a race (well unless you're in person lol).

Who is that? I only know Michael Air Jordan!
Who? Oh, the mediocre baseball player.😏

Haha. I was going to post the same exact comment. All 5 of you are lucky. Gotta dust off the apple helmet.

U2 at the Sphere, for me. And the Masters golf tournament. In due time...
