I don’t have an M1. But my core 2 mac mini does not have a lid. Which is why that solution isn’t gonna work for some people...

Doesn't matter. The screen saves comes on anyway, even if you disable it. It was in the article.

This is nothing compared to my discovery of the inability to turn on Filevault on external startup volumes. Won’t work on any of the M1 machines and I tried them all as of 10.1.

Have this happen nearly every day. The workaround is to press cntrl, shift and the eject key. Clears it every time. Now fix it for real Apple!

- It happens to someone
- It is annoying
- It may happen to anyone
- "only a few" signalling
- Apple gets aware
- Apple solves it
- It doesn't happen anymore
