I think the answer is no...but, "did anyone know of a way to distinguish the faster SSB models from the older?" (Aside from on the blade itself)
Model Number diff? Anything?

Anyone know if the refurbished Air 11" comes with the faster drive or not?

Maybe, maybe not. There is no way of knowing that before booting it for the first time.

You can see the model number in System Profiler. The old one is TS128C while the new one is SM128C.

Absolutely yes!
Possibly at the different frecency because of logistics, but it does.

Apple doesn't treat those two models differently:
1) it charges you the same money for either
2) if you get faster one, and come back to replace it for warped lid - they won't fish for the similarly SSDed replacement.
They (Sales, Retail) don't even have a way to know which is which - it's just one SKU.

Same story with LCD panels - I've lucked out on 9CDF ...

I have the 256Go version, that come build by Samsung. It's really fast, and has TRIM enabled. Happy with it 🙂
