Obviously Tim is more concerned about writing coming out letters than fixing issues like this. iOS 8.1 still has wifi issues too.

Also got wifi issues, when holding down the alt key and click on the wifi icon you get more info.

Normally the TX Rate with Mavericks was 900-1100 AC speed, now under Yosemite the TX Rate is 195-280

Jeez, all this time I tought it was my router... I just resetted thte thing 5 minutes agoo again... Never again updating to a .0 version of a new OS. This is bad.

Somebody tell Development this was not a feature that was supposed to be brought over from the iOS 8 release.

Interesting...

My 2013 simply won't connect to the internet 50% of the time when I reboot - and that's over ethernet. Works 100% under bootcamp and all the other devices in the house... looks like network bugs in Yosemite!

Sack them all..

Apple needs to completely sack the team responsible for wifi and start from scratch. These chronic issues plaguing both ios/osx is becoming ridiculous. We are dealing with a finite number of variables here in both hardware and software, unlike windows, so there's absolutely NO EXCUSE for this to be happening on every release.

No Solution, but Apple Support is definitely aware...

I was (am) experiencing the same issues. When using WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time, I get crappy connectivity on both. WiFi will drop frequently, and BT devices (keyboard, mouse, trackpad) have significant lag. (Mid 2014 Macbook Pro)

I was on the phone with Apple Support today and worked with an engineer to gather some diagnostic info. We were able to recreate the issue immediately. I sent Apple the log info.

In the meantime, I'm just dealing with the problem by not using BT and WiFi at the same time. Pain in the a**, for sure. No Continuity / Handoff for a while, I suppose.

Anyone had luck with any of the fixes referred to in the article? Hesitant to start tinkering unless others have had some success.

Me: 15 inch Early 2011 MBP, no problems (no graphics problems either)
Wife: 13 inch MBA 2012, no problems
Son1: 15 inch rMBP 2013, no problems
Son2: 13 inch MBA, 2012, no problems
Friend: 27 inch iMac 2013, no problems

I noticed that my computer name usually got changed when my wifi connection dropped, from MBP to MBP (1) or something similar. I also got alerts that my IP was being used by another device on my network. I did a lot of investigating and changed a lot of network options, but nothing worked.

Then I turned off Back to My Mac and all the issues disappeared. I imagine I could trash the preferences and turn it back on, but I don't ever use it anymore so I've just left it off.

Not sure if this related, but my Wi-Fi will also be looking for a network every time even when I am connected to mine. I had a Growl notification for network changes and it was annoying.

The article mentions making a TM backup. I understand there are also problems with TM from the Yosemite forum here. Read the thread about the computer name getting "(2)" etc. appended.
Waiting 6-9 months before upgrading...

I thought I was maybe the only one, happy to see others have the same issue (MBPr, late 2013).
