Earth (for now)
My flag icon has been lighting up like a Xmas tree today. Not that it's a bad thing, but it turns out one user has liked something like (I'm guessing) 50+ of my posts in a single thread. Hmm...

What does this mean? I guess it means I posted way too many times in that thread. ;) (It's a 178 page thread.)

EDIT:

It's not a spammer. The account has been active for close to a decade, albeit with only a few posts.

Oh and I counted. It's 90 of my posts liked!

Here's the thread:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/waiting-for-the-2018-mbp.2048940/

As mentioned, no spam messages, just lots of likes. Interesting. And it's not just for my posts. Lots of people are getting liked.

Can you link to the posts in questions?

As for liking, perhaps the member agrees with you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He's not breaking any rules, I'm not sure there's much be to done. I made note of it, and we'll see how this plays out

Wow. Looking at recent activity, spent 7? hours one day liking posts, previous day looks like same thing. lol. Wow. That's a lot of time to read each post and like every one.

If you look at the thread, he was liking almost every post from every participant. Doesn’t look to be targeting you in particular.
Yes I know. I mentioned that above.

Yeah, that’s a lot of work and time.

I guess s/he’s really interested in the new MacBook Pros!

I was just making people aware as it seems odd. S/he doesn’t seem to have been doing anything nefarious though. I did mention there is no spamming involved.

I suppose there is the possibility of a bot but I don’t know who would bother spending time creating a bot to do this.

Maybe somebody is testing/teaching bots to use for other purposes?

What is PSIt appears that poster has read through that entire thread now, and since then has not liked any more of my posts.

We'll see if that poster gets a new MBP next month...

I hope the poster stays away from PRSI when spamming likes :).
What is PSRI?
