Dont reply period. Thats the scam most of the time. They want your real email address. You're anonymous until you reply. Then you're open for spam if you reply. If you just let it go and report, everything is gravy.

Don't reply is the best advice... BUT... if you must... you could tell them that you just sold it to someone in Nigeria for 12,000,000 US dollars. As soon as you send them the iPod... they will wire you the money.
In selling a laptop I got a Nigeria scam person on the hook also. His mistake was giving me a fed-ex number. I sent him a box of bricks, he paid $125 for shipping and $250 for in taxes.

i get so many of these stupid things when i post something on craigslist.
I think craigslist automatically sends these emails out so stupid people can make them money. not really. but i get like 3-4 of these for every post i make. just ignore them. and you will also get a ton saying, "i'm interested, what is the condition/and is it still for sale" and right when i reply saying ****! (in full form*), I get a very fast auto-reply saying, "you can do such and such to make money online if you are going through the hard times right now"
