I'm the same way also. From android to iOS out of hundreds of apps (mainly on android) I've only bought the ones I use on a daily basis like Tapatalk. It looks like I'm going to have to buy Tapatalk again this time for my iPad. Only thing though is I'm a review freak and it looks like Tapatalk HD got pretty bad reviews on iOS.

I guess I compare the money I spend on apps to money I spend on other things. I spent $1.99 or something like that on Plants vs.Zombies. I don't even want to think about how much time I've wasted playing it. While doing homework, even just playing a level or two sometimes was enough to give my mind a break. This week I spent $10 just for the ticket to go spend 2.5 hours watching The Hunger Games. Then afterward I spent $5 on a beer.

most of it comes down to actual tech knowledge. My sister, mom, and dad all have iPhones. For them to get an app on their phone I HAVE to download it for them. They also didn't have iTunes accounts set up either. I bet there are tons more people out there that just don't have the knowledge or patience to figure that out. The only app my sis and parents have is Viber so we can talk/text free now that my sister lives in Australia. Otherwise, all they use is the standard apps on iPhone and they still think it's the greatest thing ever.
