have searched for this but the most recent threads were from 2008, when this product was readily available.

i’ve been looking for a mount like this for my 2010 mac pro: something that goes under the desk and uses the case’s handles to support it, leaving access to the side panel without having to take it down.

I have one of those side-mount clamp-type brackets on my sit/stand desk right now but the case is so heavy that the metal bracket bends and the whole thing leans a couple inches. feels secure but definitely not cute, and no side panel access.

i have found it imposible to find the sonnet mac cuff pro, or any other comparable mount that can support the cMP’s massive, heavy case. i realize that it’s a niche product that was expensive at the time, but i’m struggling to find anyone to even gouge me; it’s like they landfilled all the stock at some point.

does anyone have any leads? do any of you mount your mac pro under the desk? what do you use? i’ll sacrifice panel access if i can get the dang thing to hang straight. i imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to fabricate out of steel with the right equipment, but i don’t even know where to start with that.

thanks in advance!

I had the same dilemma. Here was my solution many years back, still going strong:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/diy-cmp-under-desk-suspension.1971476/

With it parallel to the back edge of the desk, heat is exhausted out to the side into the open air of the room, and the side panel is accessible, so I can pull drives, processor tray etc without taking the machine off the hangers.

Damn this looks sick. I don't have a way to print though...are there places that will print stuff for you if you bring them plans? Not even sure what sort of material to use to make it strong enough.

I snagged it! Thanks for the tip!

Now I just need someone to sell me an OG VESA mount for the 30" cinema display...
