Koss if purchased by apple in 2014 would have invested huge amounts in 2014 and 2015 on R&D etc

You can do a lot of R&D etc with $2,950,000,000 to spend.

Rebrand of Tidal or other similar company- straight forward and I read that it was the iTunes accounts 150,000,000M at 5% that were the figures used as an initial guaranteed subcriber base for AM. Apple didn't need Beats just the 3 months free to all iOS users and the built in music app.
Looks like we will have to agree to disagree.

You're right. There's not much benefit in continuing the discussion if you don't see the difference/benefit in owning the world's largest seller of both premium and wireless headphones with billions in revenue and one of the most recognized brands versus a little known company with $26million in revenue.

Hi
You must be clicking on the "Play All" (triangle) which IMHO is a great addition.
Click on a track - just plays the track you click on not the whole album as above option.
Hope this helps
Cheers

There is a "work around" but you need iOS device to AirPlay, Play 5 or connect amp.
Where is this option? I've looked everywhere but can't find anything to stop it doing this "add all to queue" behaviour.

By the way, here's the scenario. I search for, say, Sting. Click 'Top Tracks' and scroll to "Seven Days". Clicking on Seven Days starts playing the track but also adds every song in the list of 'Top Tracks' to my queue.

You used to be able to 'add all songs to queue' but it now does it automatically.

Its no secret the main reason why apple bought Beats wasn't for the overpriced (out of fashion in a few years) headphones it was to get into the streaming music business.
They did it in the most expensive way they possibly could.
I would love to see the overall profit on those cheaply made Beats headphones 'endorsed' by sport people unheard of outside of the US.

Hi

I see what you mean now you need to click on the 3 dots next to the track:

then

or if you want the full album:

KOSS + Tidal (rebanded to Apple Music) = $50,000,000
Beats = $3,000,000,000
Saving = $2,950,000,000

KOSS always in fashion with years of experience in the headphone industry
Beats esp. large head phones worn when "out and about" out of fashion <Circa 2020
Whose silly now.

While most people think the purchase was a fair move, I doubt you'll find anyone here who doesn't think Apple overpaid for Beats. While their brand is one of the most public facing in technology, from what I understand, the sound quality is not nearly hifi, and not in line with Apple quality.
B&W would have been a better buy, though it probably would have resulted in people saying "B&W? They're hardly well known outside of audiophile circles. Apple should have bought someone like Beats", and I'm sure there would also be a large contingent of people saying, "I didn't know BMW made speakers, but the auto manufacturing division will be a good addition to their car project".:rolleyes:

Interestingly, a California company called EVA Automation came out of nowhere and bought Bowers & Wilkins earlier this year. That company was founded two years ago by a guy named Gideon Yu, and apparently had no other product or service in those two years besides "buying B&W". Does anyone here have any more info on him or EVA? I'm wondering if they are a facade for Apple.

Thanks - I know how to play just one track, but it seems very convoluted since the update.

It also makes the 'play all' button redundant, as clicking the first song in the list automatically plays all.

Infuriating.

That's how it should have been from the start instead of tapping/add one song at a time - it now acts more like a standalone music app. I love the new Sonos update.

Two reasons.

1. Many people want to try before they buy.

2. People want their stuff now. Over the years I've grown to be less patient with material items. Meaning if I want something I'd rather just pick it up at the store than wait 2-7 days for it to be delivered.

In addition, I get charged tax on most online orders I make, living in Virginia, so I'd rather walk to Best Buy and get it today for Amazon's price than wait for it to come in the post a week later. It's quicker and costs me no more money.
