Fincher. Definitely.

Yeah if you want everyone to look blue and it to be in 120fps 3D.

It depends on how they take the story.
If they go for a realistic factual story then thats one style director.
If they go documentary thats another one.

Personally i hope they adapt it and show the real and dark side to the book, directed by someone like Fincher (the man is brilliant at adapting the vision of books, e.g. fight club, dragon tattoo, social network etc) and scored by Reznor/Ross.

THAT would be stunning.

The chair was just a symbol, to honor Steve and to emphasize to the audience that Steve wouldn't make an appearance onstage.
I don't mean to rain on the parade, but I don't think there's any evidence to suggest that Apple purposefully left that chair empty in homage to Steve.

It looks like all chairs in the two front-most rows were reserved in an identical manner, and it's not uncommon for a few to be left empty.

I would love to see David Fincher to a Steve Jobs biopic. Also, wouldn't mind seeing Noah Wyle reprising the role, but if not him, I'd love to see Stanley Tucci play an older Steve Jobs.

I second James Franco as Jobs. I also would love to see christopher Nolan direct it.

Michael Sheen for me, best character actor going, stick a beard on him and shave his head he would do a brilliant Steve

I think this is a wonderful idea, but they should wait a bit longer, its to soon, and if it sucks, it will ruin the memory of Mr. Jobs. In addition, if they do film it, I think it should be required that someone close to Mr. Jobs has a major say in how the movie is produced, to prevent Sony ruining the movie with Sony products and such

You know what? I don't want to see ANY movie about Steve Jobs unless it's done in the style of a documentary like the recent film about Ayrton Senna. I would like to see a film like that with the REAL people that knew Steve and Steve himself of course. I think I would just hate a film with actors etc, Jobs, like Senna deserves more then that.

Don't let Hollywood ruin yet ANOTHER film....

Then again maybe Pixar could make a film?

The poor lad hasn't been dead 2 minutes and they're talking about making movies about, at least let his family grieve and show some respect...

Let's get Michael Bay to direct it. There can be explosions coming out of the iPhone. Vin Diesel can play Steve Jobs, and Wozniak can be played by The Rock.

Steve Jobs can go up to Bill Gates and say, "so you wanna race?" Then Hugh Jackman can be a hacker and exploit all the secrets of Apple working for Microsoft.

The movie will open up playing Shoot to Thrill by AC/DC, San Francisco is on fire, while fighter jets fly overhead.

Billion dollar blockbuster right there.

While Jobs' premature dea was perhaps tragic - his life was far from it. So a movie about his LIFE is not exploiting his death. And it will be a long while before a movie would come out. But movies based on book deals happen all the time. And it's not exploitation to buy rights up. There have been movies made about 9/11, Princess Diana, JFK, The holocaust, Apartheid and many other world tragedies. People are fascinated by Jobs BECAUSE he was so private. It's only logical that movie(s) will be made about his life.

Apple and Steve's family are still grieving so the last thing that should be on their mind at the moment is giving the ok for movies or having studios harrassing them to buy rights, sure in a few weeks maybe but he hadn't even been buried yet when Sony were on the phone

Lets State for th record that this will suck, Un fortunately,
Hollywood will F it up!

And yet you're playing the casting game. Sorta makes you a hypocrite.

Advance planning

I would be really surprised if Steve had not dealt with this somehow before he passed. He cared enough about his kids to work with the biographer so the story was the one he wanted. I cannot believe there was no thought given to a possible film.

They should cast Woz as Woz. I'd so watch that movie :)

Who would you cast for the younger Woz? Woz was skinny in those early days.

If Sony does this, we'll see Vaio's instead of Macs

If Sony does do this movie, I would think they would know better to not get the brands mixed up. This means they are going have to get a NeXT computer from some where.

you opinion means nothing then since you havent tried any of their products.

I had an ipod 2G for a while. It was nice. I've messed with people's iPhones and iPod Touches. They're nice, but again they're luxury items. People can and have lived without them.

I stand by my opinion.

It was only a matter of time.

Its true, but it's invalid because "A matter of time" is actually just after he died, it's not a matter of time at all.

And for the movie, it'll sucks just like the Facebook movie, now if it's a documentary, it would be amazing.

Well it's going to happen no matter what I think, despite the poor timing in buying the rights I will still get the blu ray of it when it comes out

Shia Le Bouf as Steve Jobs.

The movie is a coming-of-age quirky comedy about steve in his youth and has nothing to do with Apple.

Don't expect good movies from Hollywood.

The Social Network was great because it was created outside the Hollywood bubble. A movie about jobs won't be allowed that courtesy.

I would prefer a documentary, by far the best movie of 2011 has been Senna which was a documentary on the late great racing driver, a Steve Jobs movie done the same way as Senna would work the best, Steve Jobs playing Steve Jobs basically
