Nah, I'm all for competition for Apple but Sony?
Their PSP is behind the DS. The PS3 is behind the Xbox and Wii. The Walkman is behind the iPod. I'd rather they focus on them machines before they dilute the market further.
It's like when the PSP and PS3 came out, Sony touted them as media machines for so long yet what gamers wanted was *trumpets!* games. When they focussed on games they did very well and started to turn their low sales around.
In other words... give us a PSP-4000
.
The cheapest Xbox is £100. The cheapest PS3 is £260.
The most expensive Xbox is £180. The most expensive PS3 is £260.

No sir that's incorrect.Indeed. It's Microsoft that's going to have a "hard time competing" against the PS3, which gives you Blu-ray, Bluetooth, built-in wireless, and free network gaming at the same price as the Xbox.
