sony showed lots of great games but also lots of 2010 games

oh and final fantasy 14 has the small subtitle "Online" .. which is my guess makes this an MMPORG

psp go for 249 euros ? = epic fail
(though the psp games looked great)

the biggest laughs:
1. sony announcing motion controller and demoing archer shooting just as wii did just 2 hours ago ;)... also the colored ice cone design ? microsoft sure looked better there

2. sony annnouncing a kart racing game the day after microsoft announces a kart racing game
so both realized at the same time that they need a mario kart clone ?
though the sony one with the level editor looks nice

3. no price drop for the ps3 ?... what ? 379 is still too much for a video game console even if it comes with lots of available games

That was much better than the Nintendo presser, but I don't think quite as good as the Microsoft presser. I think it would have been better if half the stuff didn't leak.

Also, I think that the PSP Go! is over priced. True it has 16GB of memory, but does that justify the $50 royalty in this economy? Even though it is really slick looking? I'd say no. Price it at $200 and that sell alot better.

After all this time they still haven't learned that the market wants cheaper stuff right now, even for the price of cheapness.

No PS3 price cut?

A new PSP that's more expensive than the old one?

Are you kidding me? Do they not WANT to sell too many systems?

EDIT: Other than, pretty good conference. Don't care much for the motion wiggly thing, but the kart racer looks really cool. And Uncharted 2, GT5, and God of War 3 are no-brainers. Where was Heavy Rain though? Ratchet & Clank?

Aww...I want the PSPGo! but for 249? (And it won't play my old UMD based games..which is fine, but its a clean break, without adding much new to the table)..but it doesn't add much for me....idk...PSP-3000 might be where its at!(along with a nice big memory stick!)

I am excited over the new PSP Go. My niece has been wanting my PSP for a while now. I guess it is time to let her have it and get the new system.

I salivate at some of these games. The Go looks and seems pretty cool. But I don't know if I want to get back into handhelds...and invest that much in a handheld.

In terms of the press conferences, all three put on great shows this year. I can now say this in terms of the conferences: MS < Nintendo < Sony

Uncharted 2, MAG, ICO Project, GT PSP/PSPgo, GOD3 are must for me. they can keep the waggle stuff...I'm not impressed with MS/Sony waggle add ons but keep them games flowing.

Bless

2009 E3 belongs to Sony, they by far had the best show out of the 3. Hands down winner, nothing else even came close.

Don't forget about FF14, Agent (R* Exclusive game), MGS PSP, and the others you forgot in that post 2ny!

This is the Sony that gamers have come to expect. They came to the show and delivered.

^Actually I was to work so I was sneak watching it....I got screamed at twice for walking off the set:D

The Last Guardian....AWESOME to the 10th power:D (ICO/sotc fans know what I'm talking about)

That race kart game that looks like a fused between Little Big Planet and a racer is ACE...man did MM work on that?

FF14 shut a lot of fanboys up...I giggled a little watching that.

MAG is a MUST for me this year.

Lets Review the games for this year(Since people are forgetting them)

Uncharted 2
Ratchet & Clank Future: Crack In Time
Demon's Souls
Some other RPGs(White Knight, Tales etc)
Fat Princess
MAG...yummy
Pixel Junk Shooter
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

What more do you want in a year oh and don't forget the multiplatform games and the ones already released.

Sony did it big this year

Bless

Yay! Home at last! Time to watch the conference. From what i read on my ipod/just now, it seems usual business, nothing too earth shattering. Trico makes me very very excited, as does Uncharted 2.

PSP Go! price is what I expected, but still too much. Early impressions seem to back up the thought that the analog nub is just as uncomfortable as before. But GT-PSP and a new MGS is cool. After taxes etc, it's gonna be near $300... Thats more than a 360 and the same price as a Wii.

But MAG is meh with MW2/ODST this fall, as is FFXIV (online? GTFO with that crap) and I'm not huge on GOW, it's cool but nothing drool worthy.

PS3 Dildo looks really neat. Archery simulator FTW! Still... if the system doesn't launch with it, who REALLY cares? I don't wanna swing crap around to play Ratchet and Clank... (the subtle burn on MS was kinda funny). I think if Sorny had their conference first, it would have seemed all the more impressive (and had some pedo little boy to chat with)

And FFXIII <3 <3 <3

Im still trying to find words to describe the GoW3 trailer. I dont think a game has ever left me speechless before.

.

Ehh....idk...I hardly think anyone was a hands down winner. Over all impressive, but PSPGo! is a big pricey at 249(I mean does a lot, but for 249, and no way to play old PSP games and not offering anything new?)

Honestly everyone brought some good stuff to the table

Agreed. A good show all around. Finally.

Really? It was a big meh from me, so was that Unchartered 2 trailer (they both seemed way too scripted). But I suppose these are games you need to play.

^Don't know and honestly don't care about Final Fantasy but Uncharted 2 multiplayer is now LIVE(to download at least)....good gawd.

I cant tear myself away from inFamous long enough to download the Uncharted Beta. Looks amazing though.

I wanted Sony to do something new to integrate the PS3 into the living room. So, this E3 was a bit "meh" for me.

Where's the music store? PlayTV or VidZone for the United States? TV show subscription service? Streaming video store? Netflix or Blockbuster integration? IPTV?

Not to mention software updates like New XMB? Standard voice chat?

This keynote was mostly about trying to renew (aka salvage) the PSP platform.

I just watched the motion sense section and i am really impressed. It makes Wii Motion Plus look like junk. Sony has good devs that wont eff it up too, so i have high hopes and high expectations.

Wait, how does it do that then? Because from what I saw and know about both products they both have 1:1 motion. Sony's system can use the camera and overlay effects, but they can both certainly do that 'dodging around the room sword/gun fights'. I'd hardly call that junk.
Besides Sony (and Microsofts) systems are still being developed. What we get might be a lot less than what they're promising... Wouldn't be the first time this generation :D

The more I really consider the PSPGo! the more of a let down it is....they dropped UMD, which is great...but for what? We didn't get anything in return(like a 2nd analog stick!) And 249?

I'm thinking I'll just pick up a PSP-3000, and a nice memory stick. But I do sorta want that sexy slider! And it is so much smaller! Always a good thing there.

I'm conflicted!

I need to handle one first. Gizmodo complains it's almost TOO small, and the nub/buttons aren't fantastic :(
