Some cool features but I'm not so heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem anymore so I guess most of it will pass be by.
I'll always have a Mac, but hardly use my iPad 2 anymore (which would no doubt get even slower with iOS8), and am quite content with my Android phone.
I thought for a moment that Eyebrows would introduce a Swype/SwiftKey like keyboard instead of predictive input though (I'm sure that murmur from the crowd was because they thought the same).
Also I like the integration between products, specifically answering calls on my laptop. Wonder if/when there'll be a workaround for Yosemite/Android.
They're leaving that to the creators of such keyboards to then put up on the app store for use system wide.
But the fall, we'll see all the major keyboards on the iOS store I would think. Too big a market (500 million iPhones, 200 million iPads, 100 million iPod touches) to pass up.

Gotta say, one thing Apple should do is get rid of those dots and go back to the small vertical lines to show the strength of the signal . It takes up too much space and also get rid of the network name up there too. You know what network you are on. It takes up too much space as well.
Now i say that so you can see notification icons better and get more of them but i dont know if iOS allows that many as Android does. I just think it is ridiculous to have the network name up there.
I'm all for this, but not so they can replace it with more clutter.
De-clutter the bar, cool. But then don't add a bunch of little icons that don't mean anything to me.

I have to admit, iOS8 does look like a huge improvement.
My biggest problem is that so much of it looks, to me, like they're just doing what Android has done for a while.
Look at the implementations of some of the features - and also realize that what you see as "copying Android" is simply Apple adopting a more open philosophy. One that Android has at its core, and many OSes have had before it.
Really not about "copying Android features" - more about being open like an Android, or webOS etc.
They're trusting their users (and devs) with more. I think we're all happy about that.

Oh this they need to do, really they just have to. That thing is such a wasted opportunity otherwise. At least let the user choose between a bunch of functions...for me a insta toggle for wifi hotspot, please!
If you have Apple products, no need to even toggle anything.
It just works
😉😛
But seriously - I wanted to go back to an LTE iPad because setting up the hotspot was too inconvenient. With the continuity features and the fact that my iPad will just "know" my phone is there to connect to is freaking awesome and will likely save me $130+tax.
