Wish MR had some sort of presence with the SOPA blackout. An article, a banner ad, something... I'm sure the response is "if it's not Apple related" but it is. Ah well. I emailed my Congreesmen, tweeted them and called one of them. I also signed the petition from Google's link. Hope everyone else does their part, too.

:)

Now that wikipedia has gone black, it's unclear whether or not they'll be able to go back.

Well played.

It has already been made very clear that MacRumors is not a Democracy, so save your carpal tunnel for something do-able. :)

2. I was referring to the thread where as the OP can actually put up a poll so users can vote whether or not they agree that this site should/should have put up a banner or something.

One of the problems of having fast down load speeds - I couldn't hit Esc fast enough, it loaded too fast.

Not really complaining...:D

Use google and see cached versions of Wikipedia articles, or any blacked-out website really.

However, I'm all for the blackout, and I think all this talk being generated is helping the cause.

What good would that do, we don't own the place nor dictate what Arn does with it.

Doesn't have to do any good. What good does posting in the thread do? There is nothing wrong or irrational about creating a thread about SOPA and there is nothing wrong or irrational about creating a poll or suggesting that a site participate in the SOPA blackout. Sure MR isn't a democracy, doesn't mean they don't listen to the users of their site.

Thanks for the suggestion about using Google.:D

Agree about the blackout - I hope it helps in some way.
