A piss-poor ending to a piss-poor episode of a piss-poor season. All this crap about the "viewer making up their own ending" is ridiculous. We dont write for the show. The writers/director/creator is suppose to supply us with the finality.
I hope some day David Chase is watching his favorite sports team in a championship game, it comes right down to the wire, and his electricity goes out so he doesnt get to see how the game ends. Same thing here.
lol voodoo...it sure sounds like however you thought the show should end, you've been thinking about that ending nonstop and setting your expectations for what you wanted to think.
at first, i was ticked, but now that i think about it...the ending was brilliant.
why? simple - he used so a few red herrings get our hearts and minds going- the issues with Paulie; Meadow's car issues before going into the restaurant, the guy sitting at the counter - goes to the bathroom (i personally thought T was getting a hole in the noggin' right then)....and then..chase ends it prematurely after the talk with Carmen about Carlos flippin' where maybe we thought we'd see T getting hauled away by the feds.
perfect.
and of course, chase has said he filmed 3 endings so i imagine in the face of consumerism, all endings will be choices on the final box set so maybe, just maybe.....the 'right' ending is there.
the show was fantastic throughout. I fear some of us maybe upset b/c we feel we should have written the final episodes. maybe chase should have held a reality show and the winner got to write the final episode?
it's over.
bada-boom.
