The model number is : A1174Okay. We're getting to the bottom, literally. Once and for all, what is the model number of your iMac? It's under the big foot and starts with the letter A. This will definitively tell us what iMac you actually have.

Shuriken requires an existing Tiger installation which, for an Intel iMac, means using the grey restore discs that were bundled with the machine. You can try 10.4 Shuriken- http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/shuriken
Yes, I know 10.4 is tricky when it comes to Intel machines.Shuriken requires an existing Tiger installation which, for an Intel iMac, means using the grey restore discs that were bundled with the machine.
What is the other OS you have on there? Can you see Sorbet from the Startup Disk menu?I do have a Mac min g4 PowerPC just tried sorbet leopard it on there but the partition is not showing up on the start up boot option.what can I do to get to show up on the boot option?
Is the hard drive partitioned using the Apple Partition Map (APM) scheme? It must be for the Mac mini to be able to boot from it.I do have a Mac min g4 PowerPC just tried sorbet leopard it on there but the partition is not showing up on the start up boot option.what can I do to get to show up on the boot option?
Yes it has two ports on the back of the Mac miniIs the hard drive partitioned using the Apple Partition Map (APM) scheme? It must be for the Mac mini to be able to boot from it.
If you’ve used an Intel Mac to restore the image, the hard drive might have ended up with the GUID Partition Table (GPT) scheme that a G4 mini cannot boot from.
And... sorry to sound like a broken record, but can you check if it's really a G4? If it has two USB ports on the back, it is. If it has four or five, it's an Intel.
