Called a local best buy, they are still showing that the iphone is on schedule.
 
This is the first I'm seeing of this and will look for more threads. What does it mean? There are no phones available for walk-ins or that they aren't accepting/cancelling preorders?
 
i heard its because att had so many pre orders that they forced apple to give the phones to them since they have a contract for a set amount of phones on launch day.
 
I was just at Best Buy and I got an iPhone 4 reserved for Thursday. It might just be your local Best Buy. My local Best Buy has a "mini" Apple Store in it, and Apple tends to not count those the same as regular Best Buy stores. I know that there was some Apple product that was only available at Best Buy stores with "mini" Apple Stores, I think it was the iPad.

Do we need more threads??? I would think one is enough.

How did you guys hear about it? Did the stores call you to cancel your reservations?

I'm curious about this too.
 
Last year at my store there we no walk ins. Every phone sent to them was a preorder, the only way to get one was if someone didnt show up for the preorder.

Just called the best buy where I pre ordered mine and he said all is still good for the 24th. I sure hope it is!:confused:
 
Just went to the best buy sight and just says coming soon for iphone 4. Dont know if it said that before.

Both RadioShacks near my house won't have any iPhones on launch day due to 'inventory shortages'. Best Buy is probably suffering the same thing.

no, we are the smallest modeled store in the company, so we aren't a high volume store. the report was sent a few hours ago so the stores may not even know about it yet if they haven't printed out the information.

Not saying I don't believe you at all. I for one, welcome and appreciate any and all news you can offer. I called all 4 stores in my area and they all said the same thing, pre-orders ONLY, no others. I am hoping that is what your manager is speaking of. Please continue to give us any info you get. Thanks.

yeah, maybe he just read it wrong and mistook what it was stating (hopefully). and dont worry i didnt take your post the wrong way :)
