I saw it before he took it down. Could be legit, could be a fake. Honestly there wasn't much on it. Spreadsheet with various iPhone models. Then the statement that phones won't be available for launch, with more updates to follow from BB. Also he hand wrote in black ink "Mac Forums June 19" on it to date stamp it.

There was nothing about it that couldn't have been easily reproduced by someone at home with access to MS Word. Nothing on it that distinguished it as being from BB. I'm not saying the OP is making this up, but just some stuff to keep in mind when you considering what to make of it.

Thank you.

True but him immediatly taking it down then begging me not to post it goes against it being fake.

and looking back over this thread it seems like he was a customer, but then was an employee and is now worried about there job which is why no pic.

I really doubt that any of this will hold water, but I will find out tomorrow and keep everyone posted.

apple is REALLY ******** the bed on this launch day release...should have pushed it back a few weeks and just popped the whole entire thing into the next quarter. nothing is looking good anywhere. have heard no good news whatsoever this entire time

Not to mention that he went back and edited his posts later to remove the references to him working there. You can still see the original text in the quotes of replies.

FWIW I called the BB I preordered from and the person I spoke with had not heard anything about this. He said that as of an hour or 2 ago they were still expecting to be able to fulfill preorders. I also did a chat session via the best buy forums with a rep and he said it was untrue as well.

So, either this guy is making it up to start s*** or no one else at BB has been informed yet. Either is completely and totally possible.

To be fair go to the bestbuy forums, its hilarious, everyone posting who preordered is getting told different things by each store, some saying white will be there, some saying it wont, some saying lots of blacks, some saying no list of inventory. All it shows is that the staff just make things up as they go along.

I thought bB employees couldn't get iPhones? So why is he mad?

Or he's being completely honest, and it only applies to his store.

it has a list of the devices with price, and store codes then says

"Note:Iphone devices will not be available on launch day.Once Apple confirms availability we will communicate accordingly on Employee News."

Make of that what you will

That's what I was thinking since he said his store was the smallest size that BB has. I would imagine the larger locations (especially the ones with dedicated Apple sections) will definitely be getting some.

Hey guys I work for Best Buy and I can clearly tell you gents that we just DON'T know what apple is going to send us or even when! I checked our inventory and it looks like every store in our district has the same amount of iPhone 4's "on order" but none are "in transit" to us so no one at BBY is going to have a ape **** of a clue until the day of the the 24th.

Let the speculation begin.

Edit: Just for fun I'll tell you guys about my stores iPad launch. It was the same deal we didn't know what the **** we were getting in until the UPS truck arrived. With that being said the UPS truck arrived 5 mins before the store was going to open while we were telling customer waiting out side that we had not gotten any in yet and would take down their info and call them later. Apple never tells us anything. =^.^=

Ok just got off the phone with a friend that works at best buy and the page described actually is part of a document at best buy. However my friend said the same document also specifically says that launch day inventory has not been set yet and will be found out some time before the launch.

So basically we still have no idea what is going on with Best Buy's iPhone inventory.

Great, another company who has no idea what's going on. Apple, speak up!

Thats why I just said that my friend said that page is in the document, but later in the same (multi page) document it says that the inventory is not set yet.....

OK...I just went over to that Best Buy forum and can see where there was plenty of inconsistency.

While I ended up placing an order on the 15th through Apple.com, I went earlier in the morning to Best Buy to pre-order.

I was #6, and this was noted on the form that was given to me. I was #3 out of the 6 to get the Black 32GB. The salesman was VERY careful to tell me that this did NOT guarantee me a phone...but that there was a GOOD CHANCE based on my number. I was fairly confident that Best Buy would received, IF THEY RECEIVED ANY, enough phones to fulfill my order as #6 (#3).

Maybe my store, and my salesperson, (Culver City-Westfield) was just better and more organized, but I appreciated their honesty. A Best Buy "pre-order" is more akin to reserving one with an Apple Store.

After reading that forum where people swear up and down that they were GUARANTEED phones, I don't know what to think. I know Best Buy can be inconsistent, but this could prove really problematic if they were, in fact, guaranteed phones. I know that I was NOT.

In any event, my cancelling of my "pre-order" or "reservation" will move everybody else one place up the list at my local Best Buy. Hopefully, the store receives at least some.

Good luck to all.

If you have one page saying no iphones at launch and another saying launch inventory hasnt been released yet then it isnt hard to work out which memo is the earlier one.

IT IS THE SAME DOCUMENT! how many times do I need to say that.

this is why I dont buy apple products from anyone but apple. even if I have to wait. AT&T, BEST BUY, RADIOSHACK and WALMART. I can only imagine the cluster**** launches will be at these places. sure itll be hectic even at apple but itll be 10x worse at a 3rd party.
