I never gave a "history" of anything. I stated what I did and what people were probably doing wrong about getting their battery changed. Again, you pay Apple to swap batteries, they're not losing out on this deal. It's asinine to think that they'd turn you away unless you went in complaining about your phone being slow or some other drivel and they ran diag on it and found nothing wrong. If you specifically go in and tell them you need your battery swapped, they have never, in my experience as well as many people I know, refused.
Yet many on here say they did refuse to change the battery. So your assumption is incorrect. And it was Apples own diagnostics software which stated there was no fault with the battery, thus they would not replace it. Even when people asked for it. Seems like you got lucky or had the battery changed after the scandal was exposed? If you Google there is just so much out there about this topic, but I think the endless law suites, government investigations, consumer rights investigations and government fines against Apple speak for themselves. Must have cost Apple about a billion dollars in fines and repairs.
