I'll admit, it is a nice feature for iOS but I don't think it's practical on a computer. I use my iPhone and iPad all day and never find myself trying to double space to put in a "." when I finally get around to using my MacBook Pro.

But I digress. I have seen a way to do this on the Mac. Try searching around google!

Hasn't happened to me... I guess I type more and have been typing for longer on the computer. The Mac doesn't really need a feature like that though, as typing is not as much of a time consuming task like it is on the iPhone. Autocorrect would be nice though.

It's many of these little type of things that make iOS "magical".

If you type for example into the browser "www.macrumors." and then tap on ".com" shortcut, instead of adding two full stops .., it'll just leave one.

When on a call and an alarm rings, it plays at a low noise through the ear speaker, so it lets you know that something is happening.

Scroll lock - Scroll a certain direction and it locks into it, either vertically or horizontally.

When typing a word the keyboard predicts what you're going to type and widens the predicted keys of the word for better hit detection.

When scrolling a list the headline title/icon/letter is visible until the end of the list.

Intelligent double tap zoom. Android still does not have this.

Rubber banding/bounce back everywhere - This IMO is VERY important, touchscreen input interface, unlike tactile button input, is very unforgiving on the lack of response. If it does not respond, the user feels detached and feels no interaction with the device. In iOS, everything you expect to "move", does so, that is what Android is lacking. In Android when you scroll to the end of the list, you stop suddenly, feels like running into a wall instantly. In iOS even when a list fits on the screen, you can still move it up and down, in Android, you get no response.

Actually the annoying thing I find now is that typos don't auto correct themselves in word. We have to manually address those red squiggly lines.
