I'm sure we'll get ours in a second wave soon. I read somewhere someone commenting from an Apple CSR (yeah, not a super-reliable source) that Apple was prioritizing production of the mid-range watches (SS, etc), presumably because of a bigger profit margin.

I'll know better when the next hot Apple product is released; I believe I've got making purchases with the app down to femtoseconds, but even that's probably not fast enough ;)

That's the funny part. When I first went to order it (Apple Store app), it was 04/24-05/08 but I needed to change the credit card. In doing so, when I got back to the cart, it was 05/13-05/27. :(

In the future... You can always change your payment method after the fact. Get the order in and worry about the specifics later.

Quarter Earnings and Watch Production

Q: You've said in the past that the Watch may take longer to ramp. Is it slower than past product categories?

A: Supply and demand... right now demand is greater than supply. We're working hard to remedy that. Made progress over the last week or so, able to deliver more customers on Apple Watch than we had initially anticipated. We're going to keep doing that and we've already sent some notes out today moving customers in vs what we had communicated to them previously. Generally happy that we're moving on with the ramp. It is a new product for us, with any new product you wind up taking some time to fully ramp. Having said that, I think we're in a good position and by sometime in late June we currently anticipate being in a position where we could begin to sell the Apple Watch in additional countries. That's our current plan. From a demand point of view, it's hard to gauge when you don't have product n stores, we're filling orders completely online at the moment.

Looks like it's going to be a long month of May to get watches out to all of the preorder customers. I'd guess the timeframes will increase more exponentially, customers with the latest shipping estimates from Apple will see the most improvement on quoted time as they build to expanded country distribution.
 
I talked with an  Rep via chat for my timestamps. Here are my current order statues:


42mm SG Sport Time Stamped 12:05:01 - Shipped 4/26, Delivery 4/28

38mm SG Sport Time Stamped 12:08:36 - Processing, Estimated Delivery 5/13-5/27

I was pretty sure my emails were 12:03 & 12:05. I must have accidentally deleted them, though as I cannot find them.

Nope. Tracking still just says label created... no tracking whatsoever. Although, I'm not that worried since scheduled delivery is tomorrow and my Apple shipping email said it delivered by tomorrow.
 
Update: my 42 SG Sport just changed to "Shipped" and as I type this, I just received email confirmation... says I should receive by Wednesday April 29th although it is too soon to track on UPS yet..

Hang in there, I feel almost guilty for posting about my shipping notice because this product launch has been so messed up, I've even taken some heat here for criticizing it... I hope you get an update soon!

Just noticed that my watch has departed from
Louisville, KY so doesn't appear it was in ever in TN to begin with even though it was noted.
 
Looks like a couple of planes landed in Anchorage in the past hour. If they are not doing inventories there, it could be after 1:00am when they start landing in Louisville that the updates begin again.

just got the excuse email from Apple thanking me for the patience and that I can expect my watch in 3 to 5 weeks after my status changed to may 20 on my April 23 order earlier. got nearly a heart attack when I saw the push on my phone while watching The Avengers 2 at the movies
