We should aggregate how many time in 273 pages this was explained

Okay all you wisenheimers, since I was the one who got ding'd for posting the question of how do you know what second you received your order confirmation email... should all of us who didn't order during the "current shipping window", i.e., xx:08:xx or xx:09:xx, just shut up and not even post that we ordered on the 11th, 24th, etc.? Since we really don't want to clutter up your forum with our nonsense

Is that your forum with our nonsense or our forum with your nonsense? This is OUR forum and WE can post whatever works as long as it follows forum rules. I managed to order on 4/10 but my time is more like xx:00:00 plus 2 hours and 35 minutes so it'll be a while before I'm back here reporting my CC charged or my watch shipped. I check several times a day and my shipping estimate hasn't gotten any better than 5/29-6/11.

I apologize there are a handful self-appointed forum police running around ready to criticize threads out of existence for imaginary infractions. I'd rather see people post who ordered after 4/10 so the thread doesn't wither and die once the 4/10 orders (someday eventually) ship out but again that's just me. I'll see your  and raise you an

I actually was just trying to show the forum police that lots of people will post things that may seem unnecessary (such as my asking about the seconds indicator on our emails) and that hey, not all of us have read the 200-something pages -- some of us have just jumped in recently. But you make a very good point about the post-4/10 people (like me) staying on this thread and posting about their orders after the 4/10 orders are shipped. Great point, and I really hope there was a huge bottleneck in that initial half-hour or one-hour window, which would mean that the slow shipping time may dissolve after that window is completed...

Yes, let's keep this OUR forum and not just the forum for the forum police!

I actually think there was a huge bottleneck in the first six minutes. It took weeks for the first six or seven minutes to show any movement and then this weekend, we jumped up another four minutes. I'm expecting that we'll be into the high teens by tomorrow or Wednesday.

Greg,
What does it mean when you say "we jumped up another four minutes"?

It took several weeks for the orders within the first six minutes to start shipping. This weekend, cards were charged and shipments started processing for people who had ordered 10 and 11 minutes after the watches went on sale. So, it took almost a month to move six minutes and then one day to jump another four minutes.

Thanks Greg for clarification. Omg I ordered 7days after (4/17) I won't see delivery date for 6 months.

Yeah, it does seem like the time is compressing - I'd assume it's a mix of: 1) more product being produced (which could specifically be focus on higher volume models like the 42mm SG), 2) more orders in the earlier time frame.

On that latter point, it would be interesting to see the number of orders per minute for the first couple of hours. I'd bet that there were as many orders in the first 10 minutes as there were in the 1-2 hour period afterward :)

It'll be here tomorrow

If anyone cares:

- I live in Texas
- Ordered my 42mm SGSB on opening day
- Confirm email dated :08 after availability
- I had a May 13-27th estimated delivery
- I received my shipping email yesterday and will receive my watch between 1:45-5:45pm tomorrow.

That is all.

I broke down and ended up buying a 42 mm SGS on eBay for 650.00. I have a preorder 42 mm SGS set for a May 29 -June 11 delivery. Once I get it in I will put it on Craigslist or eBay and see what happens. I think i can recoup most of the extra money i paid for the watch. I couldn't wait any longer :confused:I ordered the watch today and will have it by Thursday.

I think we'll have a couple more bog down points like in the am in each time zone where people woke up and were like oh crap I'll order and again when people got done with their try on the first few days. I bet we'll see increase production on this model too though as I think they underestimated its appeal. Even if you just look at the pre launch marketing, it's barely shown.

You all think you have it bad... Here's my story:

I'm from a country that doesn't have any Apple Stores. We get Apple goods long after you all do, and they are marked up by resellers, and attract import duties, and Value Added Tax (a 14% sales tax)...

My friend has a American girlfriend and I asked her to order me an Apple watch, which she gladly did. One catch, she's leaving America in a few days, for a very long time, in order to come stay in my country. She ordered a SG 42mm as soon as she got up on the morning of April 10th (7:30 am). It said shipping in June, but we hoped that it would ship sooner. It didn't. Just before she leaves she will have to cancel my order. I already sent her the money via PayPal. While she will refund my money in full, I have already paid hundreds in my currency for the transfer fees. I will pay hundreds more to get the money back. I will also lose out due to exchange rate fluctuations...

Who knows when or if the Apple Watch will launch here. They skipped us for the first iPhone and iPad... So I know you're all feeling bad about waiting, but hey, after a few weeks you will actually get the watch... Just hang in there!

And where are you from?

Why didn't people just put the freaking time? 12:06:34am 4/10/15... I mean seriously is it easier to type xx:06:34 4/10/15?

Fair enough. It's because people are reporting from different time zones. Early on in the thread there was a mix of 03:06:34 (EDT), 02:06:34 (CDT), 12:06:34 (PDT) as everyone was reporting the actual time they ordered. the XXs standardized that (from the time preorders opened) for everyone dropping in on the thread. Of course, this was before there was the general realization that Apple was moving at a minute-by-minute snail pace on the 42 SG BSBs especially.

Sadly, I'm waiting for an April 12 preorder, so I've got a long time to go. That hasn't stopped me from following this thread obsessively for two weeks in the hope that the dam will suddenly burst. A watched pot never boils, etc. etc., but I can't help myself.

Ordered my 38 mm SG BSB at like 7 am CST on 4/10, was charged at 11:40pm tonight and changed to Preparing for Shipment at 12:20 am! How long has the turnaround been from charged/preparing to delivery?

Just changed to shipped, delivered tomorrow!

Congrats. I've seen you on the thread for a while and I'm happy you're finally getting your watch. Hopefully, in a month or so, I'll be out of 'processing prison', too

I still get to wait for the excitement of actually getting a range of days for delivery too lol! All's well that end's well.
