Aye, Space Gray.

In which case, fingers crossed that these updated ship dates are rolling over even faster than we thought. I'm a 4/12 order that has the same 2-3 weeks ship window as you, but most of the rest of us are getting 6/16-22 delivery dates.

So my watch just changed. It know says 2-3 weeks. Good. But also says 23rd to 29th. So went up by one day, originally said 22-29! But 2 weeks is 17th. So I'm well confused!

42mm SG SW ordered 30th May.

P.s. People ordered after me getting it before me? What's this then! Lol! I'm in UK, by the way.

How come the May 1st orders are getting earlier expected dates than April 15th? Unless this isn't the Space Gray version.

It is Space Gray....Pittsburgh PA

Agree, I was pleasantly surprised.
Edit:Apparently over enthusiasm caused a reading disability as my actual window is 6.16-6.22. Mea culpa.

Ordered 4/10 @ 5:01am

Delivery date was updated from next week to tomorrow, but I don't see how it'll make it to the US east coast by then -- for sure by Friday I guess, wish I could figure out which plane it was on using that tracking tool -- but the flight times don't match up with the tracking departure... Hurry Santa ;-)

I'm a 4/12er, too. I'll bet we'll get bumped up to the first week in June UNLESS Apple starts stocking the stores next week.

Read from the bottom up and ignore the 11:00PM entry because it only confuses the issue. I checked Google Maps and Suzhou is a suburb of Shanghai. At 12:27 PM UPS accepted the package. It departed UPS's Suzhou facility at 2:15PM. It arrived at Shanghai Airport at 3:15PM. It cleared Export Control at 7:07PM and departed UPS's Shanghai facility at 9:52PM.

Your watch is on UPS Fight 81 which departed Shanghai Airport at 10:16PM and is currently scheduled to arrive in Anchorage at 2:11PM local time today. The package will fly from Anchorage to Louisville later today whereupon it will be placed on another plane out of Louisville to the East Coast. Good Luck!

Wow -- thanks!!! I'm thinking a delivery tomorrow isn't likely -- it would have zip right out of Alaska and then again Louisville to >maybe< make it on a delivery truck tomorrow. Probably Friday... possibly as late as Monday.

Does the flight number remain the same throughout the trip?

Flight number will change. You can check this link to see when the UPS planes leave Anchorage.

Chatted with Apple today... they said the 'Available to ship' date is when it will ship. The delivery date is latest it could arrive. So, if it supposed to ship in 2-3 weeks from today it should ship on the 10th-17th. Most US orders arrive in 1-3 business days.

I think Apple is pounding out the SG watches. I assume most of the SG pre-orders will arrive around the same time.

Ahh ok, well thank you for the information. So by the looks of things I'll have it just in time to wear it too the cinema when seeing Jurassic World! :D

My 42mm SG is OFD*

Ordered on 04/10 @ 4:20am EST (i.e., 1h, 20m after preorders started) FWIW, the wife got her 42mm Silver + White on 04/24 :)

Question guys say i want to pick up my watch instead of ups delivering it to my door step. How do I go about doing that if I wanted to just pick it up?

Assuming you're in the US you need to contact UPS and request it be held at UPS facility. Keep in mind if you send it to a UPS store it'll be delayed a day. Going to a UPS facility it usually is ready for pickup earlier than it gets delivered to your home.

Also, keep in mind making any changes increases the likelihood of a mistake.

I would much rather pick it up but i won't be sure as to when it will be delivered either. I'm home in the evenings do they normally deliver during the day or towards the evening hours?

I hope my 42mm SG ships earlier than the 6/16-6/22 date range. Looking at current trends and NapyBlue's scary good estimates, I'm thinking 6/9-6/12. I'd also hope it ships earlier, since the Apple Store site is showing ships: 2-3 weeks for that model if I place an order today. One would think an order from 4/26 would ship sooner. Yes, for those who ordered before me, I hope you get your :apple: Watch before me.

I'd be curious to see if NapyBlue agrees with my estimate...

You can do this online with a UPS MyChoice account. You can re-direct the delivery to a different address, or a UPS Store. I've been doing this for years -- it works fine if you get the request in before the final scan, otherwise it can actually wind up adding a day to your delivery date. You can also 'purchase' a 2-hour delivery window for $5 -- that's what I usually do, as they actually attempt to deliver to you instead of leaving the package with the building's management office. If you haven't set this service up already, and your watch is en-route -- it's too late.

were finally out of the first hour. Things should be moving along smoothly now.
I'm 16-22 now but honestly I'm thinking I (and all of us) will be getting ours earlier.
It took a month for them to ship the initial 65ish% which was ordered in the first hour.
Now their finishing the last 40ish% of pre orders with the knowledge of which model is more in demand, no more taptic issues & shipping figured out.

Cross your fingers!

So best time would be before final scan?

It's not in a FAQ anywhere, but that's been my experience -- your mileage may vary. I prefer the 2 hour delivery window option myself. Again, if you haven't already set up MyChoice and your watch is enroute, don't bother. Good luck!

In my past experience with anything I want held at a UPS facility is to ask for it as soon as you have a tracking number. You can call or chat with them from the UPS website. I just did this with a package from Amazon that I need for work, but had sent to my house. I chatted with them and they changed it to be held at the UPS facility.

I'd be curious to see if NapyBlue agrees with my estimate...

Starting with the Slice Intelligence data, orders for the first one hour of U.S. pre-orders on April 10 was 800,000 Watches of all varieties. 600,000 Watches were ordered the remainder of April 10 for a total of 1.4 million Watches on Day1. Only 550,000 watches were ordered from April 11 through April 26!

The questions that need to be addressed are 1) whether Apple will continue to ship Watches at the same rate or will they drop back to a slower production rate (were Quanta and the other suppliers working overtime to catch-up with the backlog) and 2) when will Apple begin to divert Space Gray Sport Watches to their retail store.

Using a combination of Slice Intelligence data and my own conservative estimates for the period beyond May 18, approximately 840,000 Watches were ordered in the U.S. from April 27 through May 27.

Assuming 260,000 of unfulfilled orders from April 10 plus the 550,000 for April 11 - 26 plus the 840,000 for April 27 - May 27, the backlog as of this evening is 1,650,000. This causes me to reason that Apple will continue high levels of Watch production and will likely delay diverting Space Gray Watches to the retail stores until the backlog of unfulfilled Watch orders is much lower.

All this to conclude that I estimate that you will receive your SGS Watch no later than June 9.
