I personally don't think my April order will come at the same time as the May orders. I think may can expect the new 16-22 date but April could possibly expect a week or 2 sooner.

here's the kicker: the online store was updated to 2-3 weeks shipping as well. so someone who ordered Apr 12 will get their watch same time with someone ordering to-day? no-way!

In my past experience with anything I want held at a UPS facility is to ask for it as soon as you have a tracking number. You can call or chat with them from the UPS website. I just did this with a package from Amazon that I need for work, but had sent to my house. I chatted with them and they changed it to be held at the UPS facility.
What you're referring to can only be done once you have the 'InfoNotice' number on the tag they leave at your door after an initial failed delivery attempt. It's different than a tracking number, and they won't re-route or hold prior to a 1st attempt with just a tracking number unless you have a MyChoice account.

If you want to re-route a package prior to the 1st delivery attempt, you need a MyChoice account. The only other way to change the delivery address prior to a 1st attempt is thru the sender with a Delivery Intercept initiated by the sender. If you really want to mess up your order, call Apple after it ships and ask for a Delivery Intercept

Got my SG 42mm BSB Apple Watch today, 2 days ahead of the 5/29-6/11 delivery estimate. My only complaint was a glitch during pairing that required me to pair twice.

Apple Watch & Carbon Footprint

While I wait for my Apple Watch to arrive, I did a rough calculation of the carbon footprint generated by it's journey from China to NY. It's stayed on the same 747 for the entire trip. I used info from the Carbon Independant site to calculate...

--> 4 tonnes or 4.4 metric tons of CO2 emmissions
--> 120 tonnes or 132.2 metric tons of jet fuel

And that's just one plane for one company for one trip... Who needs glaciers anyway, I just want my :apple:Watch

8 hours -- China to Anchorage (6927km)
6 hours -- Anchorage to Louisville (5011km)
2 hours -- Louisville to New York (1046km)

Total Hours: 16
Total km: 12984

WTF? I ordered my 42mm SG on April 14th and my delivery window is currently June 16th to 22nd....how is it that your April 29th order date has a better delivery window than mine? Again, WTF?

Different countries guys. It makes sense for Apple to ship batches of watches at a time rather than dribble them out. That's why you see Australia and European orders jump way ahead of the US. They have fewer orders so the batch of X number of watches covers a far greater time period. Do I think it's "Fair"? Not really. But I understand why they do it.

My 38mm SG is out for delivery as of this morning. Just hoping UPS doesn't pull one of its 8pm deliveries today.

There has been some massive movement overnight in some other watch style forums. Was hoping ours would pick up a little, too. Doesn't seem to be much action today.

Can someone tell me where we are now in U.S. order status? I would feel much better knowing the 4/10 orders were complete.

Now that is annoying! I didn't order mine as early as you did, but I would be super mad if I did! Let's hope they get a big shipment out in the next day or so! I want my :apple:Watch NOW!!

----------

Starting with the Slice Intelligence data, orders for the first one hour of U.S. pre-orders on April 10 was 800,000 Watches of all varieties. 600,000 Watches were ordered the remainder of April 10 for a total of 1.4 million Watches on Day1. Only 550,000 watches were ordered from April 11 through April 26!

The questions that need to be addressed are 1) whether Apple will continue to ship Watches at the same rate or will they drop back to a slower production rate (were Quanta and the other suppliers working overtime to catch-up with the backlog) and 2) when will Apple begin to divert Space Gray Sport Watches to their retail store.

Using a combination of Slice Intelligence data and my own conservative estimates for the period beyond May 18, approximately 840,000 Watches were ordered in the U.S. from April 27 through May 27.

Assuming 260,000 of unfulfilled orders from April 10 plus the 550,000 for April 11 - 26 plus the 840,000 for April 27 - May 27, the backlog as of this evening is 1,650,000. This causes me to reason that Apple will continue high levels of Watch production and will likely delay diverting Space Gray Watches to the retail stores until the backlog of unfulfilled Watch orders is much lower.

All this to conclude that I estimate that you will receive your SGS Watch no later than June 9.

Now that the Apple Store updated all 42mm watches shipping in 2-3 weeks do you think we will wait that long for pre-orders placed before the 27th? or do you think they will ship within the next week? 'fingers crossed'

Ordered on May 2nd and originally given the generic July shipping time frame. Updated now says June 23rd to July 8th shipping time frame. Would be nice to get it at the end of June!

Order has now been updated with delivery between June 16th to June 22nd.

If Manufacturing did actually ramp up and all the 1st day orders have been filled. I could actually see this. It's all about supply & demand. If the supply ramps and the demand dips after the first couple days... Then in theory it would be totally possible.

Now if they get it before us who placed our orders early... THAT WOULD STINK!

I'm 4/12. No movement. This forum isn't as robust as some others in regard to tracking watch movement. There was, at one time, a spreadsheet for tracking but some muttonhead effed it up. I can't tell for sure but I don't think we're even into the PM hours of the 4/10 orders yet for the 42mm Space Gray. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Has anyone with an april 11 order date changed to PFS?

4/11 order at 3:48pm Pacific here. Still processing but have the 4-6 days til shipping since Tuesday. Expected delivery window 6/4-6/8. I am hoping it ships by tomorrow and I get it on Monday but I think that is the absolute earliest. NapyBlue predicted by 6/2 for me. That would be 2 days before my delivery window but we shall see.
