Space Gray Orders Post here!

Honestly, it's not fair how those of us who preordered early (in the 4/24 - 5/8) have to wait longer compared to those who preordered later. I'm not happy with this. 38mm Space Gray Sport, confirmation email received at 12:02. I have lost all hope for receiving this device on Friday like I should have.

Go ahead and throw all the hate comments you want at me, but I have a valid reason to complain about this.

I can't believe we're counting seconds and the fact that I'm 30 seconds off your order time leaves me with little hope :p
 
As much as I want the watch as soon as possible. I'm beginning to calm over the situation. We all need to remember that no one has been promised a 4/24 delivery date, but merely promised a device to ship between 4/24 and 5/8. No one ever said we would be guaranteed a watch on launch day. It was only said that some will be available. Clearly there are limited 42SG and hardly any if any at all 38SG available for Friday. I've come to realize it and will get my watch when it comes. I'm happy enough knowing one will be arriving in the next 2 weeks.

No hate, but I'll make the point that if you think this is about fair or not fair, or that some sort of injustice has been done, your perspective of the world is a little skewed. No one is a victim here, and Apple wants your money. It just seems a LOT of people wanted Space Gray.

It's crazy that they only foresaw enough supply for five minutes' worth of orders, but at least they didn't overpromise.

I feel your pain. My order was only a few minutes after your time and I will probably not get mine for at least another 4 weeks... I could have custom ordered a new car on April 10th and gotten it sooner...

(Not saying that's reasonable, I'm saying it's what people will do. Although X % of those people will call and complain anyway if their delivery window gets narrowed in the wrong direction.)

I'm inclined to agree with you. I think the CS people will be dealing with a lot of unhappy people regardless of what they do. :confused:

Something tells me it already hasn't been fun working in CS this week and it will probably only get worse tomorrow and Friday.
 
the last thing keeping me sane is my fiances 38 Sport White. Its been charged and shows preparing for shipment for the past two days and hasn't moved since. I know its two separate orders but they are probably coming from the same place, so as long as my fiances watch hasn't moved I thinking theres a chance.

I'm in the reverse: my 38mm white has been preparing for shipment since Monday. It's my BF's 42mm SG that's stuck. I'm going to feel bad if I get mine first. (Not THAT bad, and he's taking the whole thing better than I am, but I'll be careful not to gloat.)

There obviously wasn't as much demand for the 38/white--I got a second order in for another one at about 3:08 (I ended up canceling it later) and it was still in the 4/24 window at that time.

Folks ... I know you are tired of reading this but hang in there .. I am a 42mm Space Gray ... I have been sweating this out all week with the rest of you. My order was confirmed at 4 minutes after 3:00am. Literally just a few minutes ago my order switched to preparing to ship .. I am located in the mid Atlantic ... In my opinion if you have the 4/24 - 5/8 you will see movement in the next 12 hours .. I could be wrong but I was hopeless thinking I wouldn't see anything on Friday but it happened.

Why are people "giving up"? Do you not realize that these watches are shipping out by next-day air shipping? They can literally charge you and begin delivering it you your door 24 hours from now. Take a deep breath everyone, you'll get the watch you ordered.

Good friend, can you specify what time your email was received with seconds? Many are waiting on 42mm space gray news with orders after 3:04:00; none have been confirmed so far and this would give the townspeople enough hope to make it through the night.

Which city do we think the flights with watches originate from? I'm following several from China and Hong Kong. Any ideas which contain watches? Apparently the one that landed a little while ago did, just not sure which flight that was.
