My 42MM SG was ordered at 12:03am and just turned to preparing for shipment. Looks like maybe Monday at this point I'll get it.

Just as in last few minutes? Have you been charged yet? Trying to determine if they're still processing some this evening.

No way to know for sure, but if I had to bet... you'll get it on Friday not Monday.

Same boat as you, except I ordered via the app. I have been keeping an eye on my order status all day haha.

Same here! I hope we get our Watches. I have been waiting since September for this watch.

Also, the 42mm SG has been talked about being one of the most popular watched ordered. I think the demand was really high for the SG! I don't have anything to site to back this up. This is just my opinion from reading MANY threads over the last 2 weeks!

Someone did a poll here on MR and of the people who took it, I think 35-40% said they would get the Space Gray model. A large chunk of that was the 42mm model as well.

I just cancelled my 38mm SG Sport as the status hasn't changed yet. It was in the 4/24-5/8 window but I didn't want to take a chance that it wouldn't arrive on Friday. Starting a 3 week vacation on Sunday. Hopefully my 42mm SG will arrive on Friday as the shipping status changed on Monday and the watch is now appearing in my Apple support profile.

The ironic thing is that if I do get my 42mm watch on Friday, it won't get much use. I'm on a 2 week Trans-Atlantic cruise and won't have cellular reception until the ship reaches Europe.

Sorry my brothers in waiting ...I didn't get a confirmation email (long story) .. But I'm telling you ... If you have the same delivery window ... Be patient .. Be pissed tomorrow night if you see no movement but I'll bet dollars to donuts in the next 24 hours you will.

It had to be between 3:04AM to 3:05AM when I would have received my confirmation email. I have a .mac email address assigned to my account that no longer exist and they can't change without me losing all my iTunes purchases, so that's the reason for no email confirmation.

If you are after 4-24/5-8 all bets are off in my opinion on 42mm SG for Friday delivery.

Odd. I have an old .mac email address too and it still works just fine. It was my understanding that the old .mac and .me email addresses will continue to work in perpetuity.

You can set up an alternate email address for your Apple ID that can be used in place of the original Apple ID. I have a .mac and a .me email address that I can use interchangeably.

Flights

Ok serious question. Don't remember seeing this being addressed earlier, so I will ask away. When it comes to the flights, do we know when the batches get scanned into the system to get tied to a customer in order to go from "processing" to "preparing to ship." Is it when it leaves Anchorage for a destination, such as Louisville? Or is it when it arrives in its destination point, such as Louisville?

I am a huge Apple fanboy but the days leading up to new gadgets make us look like whiny, entitled, spoiled brats with zero perspective.

This is supposed to be fun.

And I didn't mean to single you out Ant, you're far from being the worst, and I can't tell how "serious" you were being.

Just got charged and got my order changed to preparing for shipment, I'm in SoCal ordered at 12:03 PST. Now onto setting up my pick up at a local ups hub, I have never done that so I'm clueless lol

Looks like status changes for the 42mm SG Sport have advanced about a minute out from order time each day since Monday. If the same is true tomorrow then I'll be cutting it close with my 04:24 email confirmation. Too bad I wasted time trying to combine two watches on one order because was thrown off that it went straight to check out on the Apple Store app.

Fingers crossed but at least I'll probably be able to play with my wife's watch that went to preparing to ship on Monday. I can't get any info from UPS webpage. It's strange that it works for some but not for others.

What second?

Ok, looking through this thread,
If you ordered (confirmed email) a 42mm sport space gray in the U.S. at:
1) 12:01 or 12:02 PST, your watch is "preparing for shipment"
2) 12:03 is hit or miss, with some "preparing for shipment" and some still "processing"
3) 12:04 are all still processing
4) 12:05 or later are not scheduled for the 4/24-5/8 slot to begin with.

Am I wrong about this? Are there exceptions?

My confirmation email was 12:04. Still processing.

yes, its true with my order. confirmation at 12:03, still processing (42 space grey)

Face palm
I have xx:03 AM order confirmation from 4/10 for SG 42mm, at 7PM EST i got email from apple saying the charge wouldn't go through. Looks like I had an old credit card in there, ugh. At 8:30 I changed it, now crossing fingers they try again and I have any chance at a Friday delivery. At least I know it will be delivered soon
I talked to two reps, one said they will charge me again in the morning. Another rep said they try 7 times per day. I will tell you the email says they will keep trying for 7 days.

I had this happen when I ordered my 2013 Mac Pro. They will try again in the morning (they don't try 7 times a day :) ). Since they are most likely over nighting the watch I doubt it will affect you and even if it does you should get it Monday at the latest.

My personal experience is "it varies".

But with a huge amount of orders all at once the UPS status is often not totally reliable.

I would say if you have been charged already then Apple is intending for your Watch to be delivered Friday.

Just got an email from Apple saying that they are working on my order and simply lists the previously quoted delivery window of 4/24-5/8. I find this odd as I didn't inquire about status at all, and it adds nothing that the first confirmation email didn't already cover. This seems like a bad sign for my potential Friday delivery (12:02 order confirmation, 38mm space gray sport)...

Received the same email. :01 confirmation for the 38mm.

Lost hope for Friday. It's disappointing that there are reports of people who ordered much later getting their watches soon over those who stayed up to order right away.

I'm just finding it hard to believe as of right now that we won't see any 38 SG be delivered on Friday from people who ordered within the first couple of min. Especially since people in the UK had movement on their 38 SG today. I'm hoping to see something late tonight or mid day tomorrow before all hope is lost.

I ordered the 38m SG Sport Black Strap. I have a June shipment & it would be a miracle if I got it sooner. I ordered it @ 4:54p PST 4/10, AZ. # I don't see anyone else in this same situation. #
