Wait so is that 2 minutes after pre-orders started? And NO STATUS CHANGE? That's odd!

There is another theory that the mix of cases (42. vs 38, sport vs. steel, aluminum vs space gray) already in inventory based on their best guesses. Then for the remainder, although the electronics were already produced, the orders were more "built to order", e.g. the place an order for the cases based on initial demand.

I ordered a space gray at 3:04 and got the second ship category, but what I found interesting is that today when I looked, that same watch only has a June delivery date.

Order at 3:02 got email confirmation at 3:04.

Shipping to Ohio

When I ordered the iPhone 6 I did not get preparing to ship until Wed and received Friday. It came from a Depot in Pa. so it only took 2 days max from there to me. Could be the same happening...I hope...

Just thought of something , what IF the ones that have been changes to "preparing for shipping " are the watches in China . And maybe the ones who haven't changed "delivery for 4/24-5/8 are in ups and fed ex hubs here in the U.S.? Like (Kentucky) for example . I think that's where they are distributed right ? At least iPhones and iPads in the past. That's a possibility #

Or maybe we aren't going to see our watch on the 24th, maybe that's why there's a date gap of two weeks for delivery #

Lol

Any 38mm space gray prepped for shipping yet? I sure hope they're in the states already. I like that theory.

I'm on the East Coast (very close to the coast actually). Not sure this is location based. It could be though, because other than time of order there haven't really been any other patterns.

How I would go about it:
1. Location: try to spread out each model evenly across each country depending on pre orders quantity
2. Time of order: send the early orders first
3. Quantity ordered in each location will determine when the quantity delivered will be out of stock for the first batch
4. Of course the working shift also matters in the amount of watches that can be prepared to ship in one day

I haven't seen a single 38mm mentioned yet. I know mine is still in the dreaded processing state.

Apple order status page is definitely down on web and mobile store app. Am I the only one crossing my fingers for an updated status when it comes back up?

Received my email that it was being processed at 12:04 AM PST with a 4/24-5/8 delivery date
I got the Apple Watch Sport 42mm Space Grey.

I am from Long Beach, CA and have NOT been charged

I ordered my Apple Watch late enough to get a June shipment prediction. I'm kinda upset about that, but hey it was my fault I didn't preorder right away. I'm hoping they move the ship dates up early enough for me to get it early in May.
