these status changes seems so weird, some people who ordered earlier than others still processing. I wonder what system they are using or is it just random?

Maybe this is how they are selecting them?

Man this is kind of crazy. Across various threads I have read not a single 38mm has been changed to shipping. The 38mm was arguably less popular than the 42mm. Things that make you wonder.....

I ordered right at 3:01EST but I didn't get my confirmation until 3:04EST. So hopefully I still will get it Friday. Everybody else that status's have changed have seemed to have gotten their confirmation before 3:03. Now if somebody has gotten charged and their status has changed and their confirmation was after 3:05 then we should be good.

On a side note, do you think within this 4/24 to 5/8 delivery window, do you think there are multiple waves of shipments, or do you think its just going to be one big shipment?

from what i am gathering they are processing all the 4/24 to 5/8 to aim for a 4/24 delivery for all, i think apple knows their exact stock and just stretched out the ranges just incase a repeat of the iPhone 6 happens again

I got a confirmation email at 3:03 for the 42mm SG using Pay. However, I had to change the shipping address the next day to NYC. Hopefully that didn't impact my place in the batch.

Just called Apple out of impatience, they said I can expect the watch to go into preparing to ship within the next 24 hours.... we'll see.

Well, we've finally reached the breaking point and the floodgates have opened; hold on to your butts, Apple Customer Care reps, because the MacRumors forums are about to start harassing you non-stop until the end of May.

Seems like everyone that ordered either a 38 or 42mm SG sport with another watch has not had status changed to preparing to ship for their SG and only the other watch unless I've missed something. That or one of of two SG's preparing to ship.

This seems to be the case even if two different orders were placed with the SG sport being first. Just wondering if Apple may be giving priority for the SG sport that ordered one watch? I know it's too early to tell but a possibility. Fun to obsess and speculate immediately!

I think Apple has a team to optimize the shipment efficiency and their algorithm is more complex than this.
