Anybody know why I keep getting this amazon pop up on certain websites? This all of a sudden starting happening. I have an iPhone 8+ on latest iOS. I’ve tried hard restarts, clearing website data, etc and nothing has worked.

Sounds to me like an infected/bad ad is making its rounds through google or some other advertising company. My mom got the same thing on her iPad. I would suggest a content blocker like Adblock and manually whitelist sites.

That crap runs rampant. Either the site is compromised by an injection attack or the ad network they use has been infected by bad ads. It's extremely annoying.

I was seeing this as well, although deleting my website cookies and cache seems to have taken care of it.

I got this on MR this morning. Others have as well. Only on my iPhone. Seems to have gone away. Only happened once and with Amazon.

The app mentioned above has seem to resolved the issue. I'm not impressed that I have to use an app to prevent Amazon ads pop ups on websites I like to visit. I thought iOS had something to prevent this.

I keep getting these amazon webpage redirects, and its coming from regular websites that I visit. Check out the screenshots. Has anyone experienced these? Its mainly amazon redirects, but I know I've also seen facebook redirects. Its so annoying because you can't go back to the page you are reading. And most of the pages I visit that send me to these redirect sites are news or articles. So I'm reading and 10-30 seconds later it redirects me to amazon or facebook with a "you won" award.

Try going to settings app and click on Safari and go down to clear website data ..... this should clear up your browser settings for Safari then press home button to get out of settings and try opening back up Safari.... I get these all the time.

I was getting this several times per day. Clearing Safari data didn’t help. Downloaded AdGuard from the App Store and enabled the Safari add on. I haven’t seen the ad pop up for 3 days now. Give it a shot.

As of right now the only way to stop it is to figure out the websites that trigger it, and then turn off java before visiting the infected sites. Of course that neuters a lot of sites, so it isn’t a permanent fix. Clearing the history and website data does nothing to stop it, the pop up will simply reload the next time you come across it, plus it is a huge inconvenience when you have to re enter all your usernames and passwords.

This is a problem either Apple needs to fix, or you’ll need a third party app to block it.

I tried the ad blocker and hope that it fixes this. We will see in a week because it happens usually once or twice a day.
