Damn, these people don't rest or respect that the service "just came out.". At least wait to see of it's worth the time.

That is discrimination and I can smell a lawsuit just for that. Remember the old lady that wanted to buy an iPad with cash, got denied and then Apple had to give her one for free cause they discriminated her.

You are a bit confused on this one. Apple didn't have to give her one, they did it as a kind gesture. No law forced them to do so.

It's not illegal discrimination.

It's discrimination against people who don't have credit cards. Now I don't know if that's against the law, or even if it's wrong or right. One could argue that the rich are more likely 'not' to have a credit card, as they are rich, so I don't know if you could point to any group of people and say that they are the one's being discriminated against.

LOL! I don't have a Ferrari. I'm obviously being discriminated against. I'm tired of The Man keeping me down. FERRARI NOW OR LAWSUIT!

(And the Entitlement of America Movement continues...)

I think the report feature shown in the post is actually reporting the original poster not the idiots spamming.

You go social. You get spammers. It's a universal law.

It seems they didn't put in sensible reporting mechanisms. It looks like you can report spam, but you can't mark the specific person doing the spamming, it's really not very clear whether it's the original post or the replies.

In that regard, it's as if people in Apple have never touched competing systems. Other parts of the system are interesting though. If they can find a way to limit spam better, make it easier to report, etc. then MySpace's last leg might as well be gone, because it seems like MySpace's last reason for being is to be a social network about music, but it's such a bad mess at that.

big surprise. All social networking is completely ridiculous, filled with stupid crap, and yet we treat it like reality, shocked when it doesn't work as well as actually spending time with real people, in person.

Wow, that spammer has really wrecked the whole thing. His posts are on every single thread. I wonder if it's been a bit more successful than he planned..

Funnily enough, he appears to have registered his domain under a real name and address. And it's the same (very short) street as convicted fraudster Mustaq Hussain Patel. I wonder if he'll be getting a visit soon?

Damn, these people don't see or understand that sometimes something is quite obviously full of fail the way it is now and you don't need to 'wait to see' before it becomes painfully obvious.

Even accepting that the concept of "ping" is a good idea at all, then the current implementation totally ignores the fact that iTunes is these days about much more than music.

It only allows you to select a few music genres on joining? It recommends the same trash to everyone? Honestly, how much more amateur hour do you need it to be?

iTunes 10 seems to be made of pure fail so far.
