T theturtle macrumors 6502a Jul 10, 2011 #6 not to threadjack but does spain use GSM? so if u take ur US iphone to spain will it work? wouldn't you need to unlock it? etc etc. just asking cause i was planning on taking my iphone to korea but people told me theres no point and that it wouldnt work. CDMA?

CDMA? Click to expand... All iPhones beside the Verizon iPhone are GSM. Verizon is only in the USA so naturally every other iPhone in the world is GSM. They probably told you that because your phone is locked to AT&T.
