People just like complaining. The case works fine and you have to be just a bit above monkey to open it.

Speck Fitted Arrived

Got mine this afternoon. I really like it. The fabric gives it a unique feel and the pattern is dark enough to not stand out too much, although I'm thinking of taking a black sharpie to it to black it out.
Also, the outside edges are rubber-ish, but not too sticky at all. It doesn't interfere with it going in and out of the pocket. Considerably harder than the rubber edges of the Apple Bumpers.
Are people really saying this case interferes with the flash? The opening for the camera and flash is quite large.
EDIT: Oh wait. My case does not match the one in the pictures. The flash opening is the same size as the camera opening. The whole thing is oval-shaped rather than a keyhole as shown in the first set of pics.

Barely. It pretty much ruined the set of Lucky Labs decals I had on it. Once I ripped those offthe phone fit in pretty well. A little snug, but pretty well.
I have front and back protectors on my phone and the case went on without any issues.
That is seriously some great news. I ordered this for my girlfriend's i4, and was crossing my fingers that she could use it with a front screen protector.
Speck truly does have awesome customer service! I had a problem with my Fitted case, emailed them and they are sending me a replacement right away.
I'm not really getting the hate for this case. Mine arrived today and I absolutely love it. Never really been much of a case person either--I've owned an iPhone since Day One and never protected any of them with anything.
This case is just all kinds of hot though. Interestingly, it seems to amplify the vibration when sitting on a table or desk too. It vibrated earlier and I about jumped out of my chair.

I did indeed order on the first day of the program, about 6pm in the evening. But yeah, I noticed the discrepancy too. In fact, the flash cutout almost caused me to not choose this case. But I just had this sneaking suspicion that it might be modified since the flash issue was becoming pretty well publicized.
Much to my surprise, the design does indeed seem to have been modified. It was one of the first things I noticed when I opened the packaging it came in. I have to admit though, it really surprised me. No issues with the flash either that I can tell.
Someone said that if you get in touch with Speck, they'll swap the old style out for the new one. Let us know what they say if you decide to pursue it.

My wife's Speck fitted arrived today and I think it's a great case. I wasn't sure I'd like it when I saw it online, but it is really classy looking. It fits perfect and seems to offer reasonable protection.
Actually, I contacted them about a replacement case but not due to the camera cut out. One of the clips on the case broke so I couldn't snap the case shut anymore. Sent them some pics and they're sending me a replacement case next week. They said they're out of the Darkest Tartan Plaid so they're sending me the same case in black/white plaid. I'll post pics of whenever that one comes in.
I got the version with the small flash cutout and it's definitely a dealbreaker at times. I contacted them today about it and I'll update with what they say.
Sounds like I really might have gotten kind of lucky. Hopefully Speck will make it right for you guys. I've heard good things about them (and their products) in the past, so I'm confident they'll make things right.
My wife's Speck fitted case came on Friday, and that thing is really nice. I put it on my phone for a little while (since she was out of town) and loved the feel of it, especially the back. I hated to take it off so that she can have it.
Got mine a few days ago but I had just put on my PS AG protector and back protector so waited a couple of days to put it on. I really like it overall, the side surface has a great feel to it. No problems in and out of pocket, got the larger camera opening and found it is not too hard to get off if you use a thin blade pocket knife to gently split the case starting from the bottom. I like the rounded sides a lot, feels a lot better in the hand than the hard squared of edges of most cases and the naked phone.
Only issue I have with it is the cloth backing frays around the edges. Had strings hanging from it out of the box. I cleaned them up using a lighter but still continuing to fray a bit. Anyone else have this problem with theirs?

Speck Fitted update
Well, I contacted Speck about the broken tabs on my case. They sent me out a brand new case. The sent me the Fitted in Black/White Plaid. It definitely pops a little more since it's B/W. It still has the keyhole camera cut out. Not sure if I'll use this one or not. Figured I'd update all of you in case you're having any issues with your case. Speck customer service was pretty cool. All I had to do was send them some pics of the broken case as well as the receipt. From start to finish, I got the case in about 3 days.

I had read in some forums that the case isn't compatible with screen protectors, but her's fits just fine with a Zagg invisible shield dry install front screen protector. I made sure to let the screen protector set overnight before snapping on the case. It looks great!
Her's has the oval cutout around the flash as well, and there is no problem with photos+flash.
(Btw I hate the icon arrangement she uses... Facebook in her dock?!)

I love speck. Within 24hrs they sent out a new case with the oval cutout [they claim the keyhole doesn't affect pictures but it totally does, anyway]. Thumbs up for speck.
Just received my speck fitted case from apple today. So far I am loving it. Feels great as well!
