anybody have the link to the comparison video of both brands?

some dude name dr something posted it on here but i cant find it.

i liked th elooked of the incase white one but i heard its really hard to remove compared to speck but speck has not frost white case

They are functionally the same. Either will suit your purposes well. I use inCase, others have used Speck. I see no difference whatsoever.

But you guys are obviously materialistic. But you are also hypocrites at the same time.

People just need to change their mindset and get over that materialistic consumerism and insecurity. Its just not worth it. Just buy it and use it. And buy a new one later down the road.

Now that is a materialistic guy! You buy it and don't take care of it... when it's worthless you buy another one and so one... :D And not only that, but say that "touching the aluminum unibody is an essential part of a full macbook experience" now that is THE most materialistic affirmation I've ever heard!!!
And I'll willing that you are not so materialistic to dislike a macbook case just to show off for everybody that YOU have a macbook and that YOU can afford it and that YOU don't care about anything else!

I just don't think the look & feel is THE most important experience when choosing and using a computer but, as other many ergonomic aspects, this is not negligible either...

At last, one aspect that hasn't been in the discussion : SECURITY! Yes! I use a Speck Satin with a black tape at the upper case interior just to hide the Apple logo! I don't want someone to spot me in an airport or a train and grab my computer while I'm sleeping or distracted... and just believe the word of someone who has been robbed !

Get a MBP for its durable aluminum unibody construction, build quality and mouth watering design.

Then wrap your MBP in a butt ugly case. Ingenious!

Lol I couldn't agree more. I find it hilarious that so many people claim that one of the reasons they buy a macbook over a pc is because of the nice aluminum case rather than a cheap plastic construction, and then they turn around and put a case on it. Thats the equivalent of people who buy a nice care and then put one of those car bras on the front bumper to keep the paint from chipping but they never get to appreciate the car because the bra is on.

I have never put any of my macbooks in cases. I just take care of it and have never had issues with it getting beat up. If you happen to be 5 years old and unable to carry a laptop in your hands without dropping it, then you probably need a case. Otherwise...

Otherwise you need a case when you're on the move to hide it from thieves , like I've said before !!!

Stop being condescending. The "user experience" is different to everybody. You can't dictate what the experience is for everybody.

Why is he running Windows on his MBP? Because he can. Some people use Windows for their business purposes and then OS X for everything else. You can't expect people to follow that one-track state of mind there.

You don't like cases? Fine. But don't talk to people like they're morons for purchasing one.

Well said brotha, the funny thing of all forums is when someone is asking an opinion about 2 products then someone comes out saying "Why are you getting that? it's a waste of money!!!" Like if they are asking them permission to use their money to buy it LOL!

Like you said, the user experience is different to everybody, me for example, I've been using a speck case, and I have had 2 so far, they snapping thingies break way too easily so this time I am going for an incase for my MBP. The reason I am getting the case is to preserve the flawless design of the computer, sometimes I take the case off and it still looks like I just pulled it out of the box brand new, so I usually get a boost on the user experience by doing this hehehehe... :D

Never a fan of case. My MBP is 9months old and it's 99.9% new. No scratches whatsoever. Uses sleeve when i need to put it in my bag.

just figured id post my comment. i have 2 macbook pros, 1 only 2 weeks old, the other about 3.5 years. I've never owned a case, always sleeved mine. my bottom case is pretty dinged up and all labeling has worn other than the serial. i kind of like the no case feel. but i will admit there are a couple instances where i wish i had one. i have a nice gash on the corner of my first one due to it being dropped. to each their own.
