That's typical wear on smooth TPU. If you want something more durable get a Magpul case. At least the case did its job, your phone should look pristine :)

It's actually not from my experience. My Belkin Grip Candy (the non-translucent one) has a black TPU back, and it's in pristine condition from what I can remember, and I used that thing for more than twice as long as my Neo Hybrid.

I have a Magpul, and I love it! I use it when I want a change every now and then.

The Belkin Candy Grip back side does look newer after time, but you have to worry about the coloring on the sides coming off and dulling--something you don't have to worry about with this case. I would have kept the candy grip, but the button feedback was atrocious.

I have absolutely no idea how anyone can complain about the Neo Hybrid's tactile feedback. They are one of the best, if not the best. Too sensitive? You might want to check if the phone is sitting in the case properly (properly aligned). I have never once gotten a false positive. Given that the buttons are hard, and there is no damping, you should get the best feedback in any case available.

You are correct about the Belkin Candy Grip. However, I couldn't really find anything to complain about the button feedback. Felt fine to me, but I have seen several people note that issue on the Belkin.

Also, the buttons on the Neo Hybrid give great feedback. I just don't like the way the buttons look. They should have incorporated the same buttons that they used on the Neo Hybrid EX Slim bumper. That would have been awesome. Plus, I don't like the rattling, but like you said, the rattling is not that bad.

I agree, the Neo Hybrid is simply stunning and the fit and design is superb. $17 at Amazon is a steal!

Anyone have experience with the Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Slim metal bumper? I know the outer part is not real metal, but how does it hold up? I am looking at the gunmetal version. It would look sweet on the 5S space gray.

Seems expensive to me. Also the lightning port is very small. The OEM cable barely fits.

The blue metal version came yesterday for my silver 5s. I'm pretty happy with it so far, although I would've liked more grip (but that's just me). And there's no problem with the original charging cable or earphone connectivity that came with the phone. I would provide pictures but just sold my 4 to a mobile recycle site and have no other camera :)

I have had it, but in Soul Black. I wouldn't worry about the finish, but with the EX, you have to worry about it slipping off your phone. It doesn't come off completely, but it slips so it doesn't sit right. Over time, this can cause damage to your sleep/wake button since it will depress it off-center while the case is misaligned.

I do NOT recommend the EX. The Neo Hybrid gives you everything the EX would + more.

Yea it does seem expensive for this style bumper but gets rave reviews for the most part. I use The OEM cable, so shouldn't be a problem.

Does it have any grip? As long as it does not feel like a bar of soap, I am cool with it.

I can see the bumper slipping off the phone with the 2 piece design. I plan on giving it a shot. It's slim and that's what I am looking for. Another alternative is the PS Flat Bumper, but pricey at $39.95.

Yes, grip is adequate.

Will not it be the same problem with Hybrid? I like the EX for one sees the back of the phone. However, both hybrid and example have the same grip?

None of their cases will rub off on clothes?

Edit:
I want some protection for my phone because I think it is a little too slippery to have the "naked". I'm thinking of the Neo Hybrid, then it protects the back or Neo Hybrid EX is bumber without protection on the back.

However, I am worried that the sleeves can be the color of the clothes and pockets.

I was going to use this as a supplement

Does the neo hybrid offer any bump or drop protection? I currently use an otterbox commuter and have looked at the slim armour s. Recommendations?

I've dropped my phone a couple of times recently on pretty hard surfaces and it has held up remarkably well. I have a Spigen glass protector on the front of the phone as well.

No they don't rub off on clothes.

You don't want the EX because it slips out of place.

Yes. It does offer good drop/bump protection. My old phone was dropped in the Neo Hybrid from several feet onto cement and the phone didn't have a single scratch on it. No damage whatsoever. The bumper held up pretty well too.

To be a backside case becomes Neo Hybrid right nicely with red to a black iPhone.

I have ordered one, I'll see if I get something in the coming week.

This appears no longer true. I had one in July (slate) that occasionally slipped out the case.

But I've had the Dante Red, and family two other colors. The rubber is tighter and I've had no slippage at all since October.

thats good to hear! i just ordered the silver one to match my 5S, makes me excited, my cousin got it when it first came out and sort of looks disfigured after like a month or two of everyday use, but i have to say it is a very protective case because he works in very rigorous conditions and it protected his phone perfectly okay
