Corners feel the same as the rest of the case, and the TPU portions are very firm. Almost a hard rubber as opposed to TPU

I'm confident that this case would survive a small drop. Nothing like the Defender or other similar tough cases, but your average bump off a table, or drop out of a pocket, and it should be fine

Thanks. The harder tpu gives me some doubts as to its shock absorbancy but I've seen some pretty hard drop tests with this case and it held up and protected pretty well. I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link but a guy named David Winget on you tube gave it some pretty nasty drops. I was hoping to get some real life feedback as to its protective and shock absorption capabilities.

Mine has been bumped off a kitchen counter and desk, both onto hard wood, and it's been fine.

Again, it's not on par with the more rugged cases, and i highly disagree when people compare it to the Defender. But it's perfectly fine for your average person's everyday use.

I went back to the Defender for a few weeks and just ordered 3 more color backs for the Tough Armor.

Tough Armor is still one of my favorites for daily use.

This is my new Spigen SGP Tough Armor makes the phone a bit bigger.

My personal experience is that the Defender can't survive a 2 meter drop. I ended up replacing the 40-pin Apple connector which lost the charging capability after the crash. The outer appearance looked fine but the impact had transferred to the internal components.
