Got mine a week ago and love it. It is a little slick compared to my otterbox commuter. The first time i pulled it out of my back pocket it slipped right out of my hand and fell to the pavement, bounced on the corners and protected it fine. No damage what so ever.

I was thinking about ordering this case. However, my last case purchase was a fake Speck without knowing lol.

Since I'm from Portugal, I would like to order the case from amazon.co.uk. Could anyone give me a straight link or just confirm if they sell the real ones?

Because my fake speck was from amazon..

Just got mine. It's ok I guess, nothing to get excited about.

Mold edges are a little sharp and the back portion could have been much slimmer - not exactly as slim as its name suggests but not massive either. I got the slate back which is ok but a major fingerprint magnet. I do like the very slight lip which should be enough to prefect the sides of a screen shield.

I can see myself getting bored of this case quickly, nothing bad about it but I still prefer my incipio frequcy.

Get use to that slipperiness. And fingerprints and scratches on the back.

....yea - they do sell real ones. I bought 2 genuine ones (silver & slate) from their UK SGP store (they also come with 3 different coloured jellybean home buttons):

...have to agree and disagree there! Slippiness - yes - its not very grippy at all!
Fingerprints - hmm - a few yes but not a major magnet like some other cases.
Scratches? Mine hasn't scratched yet and feels quite robust...!

As someone else pointed out - not sure why they named it 'Slim' Armor because i had the Switcheasy Tones, previous to this case, and the Tones was 100% slimmer than the 'Slim' Armor but nevertheless, the SGP Slim Armor is THE one case for me, in my opinion of course..!!!!

Do you think it's a good case? Compared to the speck candyshell for example

Personally, I've never owned the Speck Candyshell ( only had the Speck Candyshell Grip version) so can't compare it to that. For me, the Slim Armor is the best case I have found for my iPhone 5 and I have now actually stopped looking for alternatives!!

......well - that is until this case ships in April!!!!!!! :D

Great idea for a case. Now I can lose iphone, bank cards, cash and keys at the same time. Far more efficient than having to lose things individually.

A nice bonus demonstrated in the video is also being able to sit in a bar and use the 'safe' door open as a stand; meaning that I can advertise to a thief that my credit cards etc are also handy for stealing too. Wont have to go to the trouble of being robbed twice. It's a win win, im backing now...

I agree it is a great looking case. And comes off easily. I just comment that there is room for improvement. There is no reason why the polycarbonate mid back cannot be as scratch and fingerprint resistant as the polycarbonate middle back as the Tones. And less slippery too.

Enjoy the case!

The lightning port hole is also way too small, I can only see this working with the official cable. When will case makers learn?

This is so overstated. Had mine for a while, no scratches. Never dropped either.

If you want stickiness get some e-grip material.

Not overstated at all. Because others have complained, I slid my SA back and forth across my wood kitchen table a few inches- with NO downward force. Multiple scratches occurred. Same result across my office table (Formica?).

I bought my SA direct from SPG.

Repeated the same with my Tones: NO scratches or mars at all.

It's a complaint that pops up with the SA. I mean if you're fine with that, it's a good case. But IMHO this is really poor performance for a case.

I think SPG didn't hard-coat their polycarbonate back as Switcheasy seems to have done.

From WiKi:

'Polycarbonate is a durable material. Although it has high impact-resistance, it has low scratch-resistance and so a hard coating is applied to polycarbonate eyewear lenses and polycarbonate exterior automotive components'

The reason that the Tones case doesn't scratch is purely because the back of it is textured. It's not flat and smooth like the SA. To be honest, any flat and smooth case that is pushed across a surface is going to pick up some kind of hairline scratch or scuff to say the least. Simple solution - don't slide them across the surface - pick them up instead. ;)

Hi does this have a lip? A lay on table design? Thanks!

Yes - I don't have a screen protector so there is a slight lip that comes up over the edges...

Though from what I've heard, if you use any of the glass screen protectors, the screen becomes flush with the case.

I completely agree. I have had mine on for just a single day and its already scratched! I don't even understand how, its not been on a hard surface. Only very light and you have to look at an angle to see them, but they are there after just a day... I can't imagine what it will look like in a month (well I can actually, probably like a Speck Candy Shell).

Waste of money... Call this 'armor'?! What a joke.

Got my Satin Silver case
Not too bad for under $20
Great feel in the hand, perfect tactile buttons, and keeps the front flush with my Bodyguardz Pure

So I'm using the case wrong? :D

Seriously, the textured Tones case prevents fingerprints and gives more grip, but I don't fully agree that it is masking scratches..that has to do with the hardness of the material.

But it is fine, the SA is a nice case for other reasons. But these little things bother me...I'll baby my naked phone...but not my case. Actually its more the added weight, bulk and slipperiness that bother me the most...and why I like the Tones better. My SA will spin like a top on my bathroom counter, the Tones not so.

But I like the SA better because of the ease of removal, which I do a lot...and don't like the occasional mars the Tones gives.

I should just leave my cases on...but I don't. Enough said on this.

These are $20 cases. I bet you have a collection of cases just like the rest of us sitting around. Use the case until its loaded with scratches then buy another.

The point of the case is to take the abuse so your phone does not. Now we want cases that dont scratch either?

Seriously, take a look at e-grips as it will solve both of your issues.

he does have a bit of a point, ur phone would like nicer in a well nice clean case, not so much in a beat up case
