Can someone check something on their Slim Armor case for me?!

On mine, I am finding that the Power button at the top just seems that little bit too easy to press. On my Switcheasy Tones case, it required a firm press before it activated however with the Slim Armor, it just seems that the slightest press will activate it?

Also, I am finding that I can also activate the power button without actually pressing the button itself - if I press the area immediately in front of the button itself, on the case, it will activate the power button as well. Does that make sense?!?!!

I'm wondering whether I should have removed the back screen shield before installing the case - perhaps the case is not quite reaching parts of the phone properly because of the thickness of the rear back screen shield (it's really not thick anyway but just wondered!!)

I love my slim armor case...I did get my aftermarket cables to work. I at first was gonna dremel out the hole bigger in the case, but then I just took my pocket knife to my aftermarket cables and just barely trimmed down the leading oval edge of the white plastic. Just shaved the 90 degree angle down to a 45 defree angle...now all of them fit in there just fine and im totally happy with the case.

Mine is easy to press just like the naked button and no it doesn't work when pressing on the front portion.

I'll post some pics tomorrow afternoon (105mm Nikkor Macro) of the GLAS.tR on my fiance's iPhone 5 with my Spigen Slim Armor (Metal Slate), until her Spigen Slim Armor (Satin Silver) arrives.

Dumping her garbage pink/white OtterBox Commuter Case!

Hey RealRedRaider. Did you happen to get the chance to take those pics? Trying to decide between the Glas.t and Glas.tr for this case.

Thanks

Thinking of ordering one, but have two questions:

1.) It seems that the case does not provide screen/on-table protection, can this be confirmed?

2.) Is the bottom lightning opening of the case wide enough to fit the 30-pin to lightning adapter made by Apple? This adapter is wider than the Apple lightning cable slightly.

There is a small "lay on the table " lip on this case if you have a standard or no screen protector. If you use Spigens glass protector it is basically flush - no lay protector.

It's quite a small cut, just enough to fit the lightning cable. Don't think it'll fit anything thicker as there seems to be no room for it.

That's what it looked like ... kind of a bummer. I don't wanna splurge another 25-30 for the GlasTR. I hear the GlasT, which comes packaged for the case for cheap, breaks too easy and thus I would need the GlasTR to protect the screen. Not getting a regular screen protector as they always get crap underneath them or peel off too easily.

Bummer. Guess they definitely lost a sale then.

Thanks for answering my questions!

I have the Glass T on my iPhone 5 & haven't experienced any issues with it to be honest. Maybe there was a bad batch or something hence people saying 'they are prone to breaking'.

Thanks for the feedback. To be honest, I would try it out, but given how small the case opening is, I'm very afraid it won't fit with my 30 pin to lightning adapter which is a MUST for me.

Which means the SA 'lip' is only 400 microns (0.4mm) deep, based on the Spigens glass spec. A bit less than 4 hair strands stack on top of each other ;)

I understand a screen protector is meant to protect the real iPhone glass, but making it flush is just placing it in harms way, isn't it? And for $25-30 a pop, that's an expensive safety.

Even without any screen protector, 0.4mm is kind of small. Design wise, a raised lip is meant not only for lay-on-the-table, but also for protection from a flat face down fall to the ground. As long as the floor surface roughness is smaller than the lip depth, the lip will keep the glass ( iPhone or screen protector) safe. If it falls face down on large diameter pebbles, the the glass breaks.

But also with it flush, the screen protector is mechanically coupled to the iPhone glass, so a face down fall, has a greater change of transferring shock and breaking the iPhone glass. Let alone scratching the glass.t if you do slide it face down.

I understand that some like the glass being flush with the case...just saying its a risk.

It is beginning to appear that a few small design considerations could have gone into the SA to make it much better. Being the makers of the glass.t, I'm surprised they did this.

Perhaps a revised version will come out.

P.S. I going to guess, with the help of wiki, that a standard plastic screen protector is 0.150 to 0.200 microns, half the glass ones

Yes that is true, but of all the cases I've see so far this keeps the design of the phone very well. That said I'm not a fan of rubber/silicon cases, Dust magnets for me.

I said the same thing except this does not feel or look like the typical rubber/silicon cases I have owned. It's more of a very HARD rubber and does not attract dust.

Yeah, I'm torn between the Slim Armor with Glass.t/.tR --OR-- the Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Slim with the Spigen Ultra Crystal Protector on the front and a Ghost Armor case-friendly matte finish on the back.

Just trying to decide between a case or a bumper.

Assuming if I go with the Slim Armor with Glass.t or .tR first, will I be able to switch back to it if I try the Neo Hybrid bumper at some point? I'm guessing I would have to leave the Glass.t on and not take it off if changing cases as I don't think it can be reapplied.

Conversely, if I go with the Neo Hybrid bumper with Ghost Armor back first, can I try the Slim Armor without ruining the GA back?

I may just try one out, Im also curious about the Glas screen protector, looks very nice.

Here are some pics with the GlasT.r and Aluminum home button. FYI the GlasTr is about SAME level as case, meaning when face down it's hard to tell what is hitting, the glasTr or the case.

Great pics puppers. Thanks for those.

Anyone have this case with the original Glas.t protector on it and willing to post pics? Wondering if with the straight cut edge of the Glas.t if there transition from glass to case is a smooth level one? I am not digging the groove look that the bevel on the "r" version creates.

I have the Glass T protector with the Slim Armor and can tell you that you get the exact same 'groove' between the glass and the edge of the case.

Okay, I decided to pull the trigger on this SA, so I compare it for myself. Curiosity got the better of me.
