You don't know much chemistry, do you? For water to conduct electricity it has to have electrolytes. Bottled water is full of electrolytes, as is regular tap water. You shouldn't drink pure H2O. ;)

To OP: No body knows. You're probably in the clear, but damage may also become apparent after some time.

Off-Topic explanation:

Technically there is no such thing as "pure" H2O in the sense of the word "pure". The "purest" form of H2O is called ddH2O (distilled, deionized H2O). This stuff is also referred to as nano-pure water. Drinking substantial amounts of that will cause a significant decrease in osmotic/oncotic load and lead to massive edema, a la G- sepsis (without pyresis).

Bottled water is indeed full of electrolytes and generally has significant osmolality associated with it. Some of these osmoles are inert, others are charged and provide equivalence (i.e. Na, K, other ions). Moreover, H2O at RTP also under goes auto-hydrolysis in a simple acid base rxn:

H2O <-- --> H+ + OH- with a Ka of 1e-14. Thus, water will conduct a charge, albeit a poor conductor in its state of "purum" and more of an avid conductor as "regular, bottled water".

To the OP - I would make sure to dry the MBP for atleast a week in several different positions as others have mentioned, before attempting to turn it on.

Only Brawndo has the electrolytes that Mac's crave.
