I tried to be spoiler free for the WWDC event and found out it wasn't for me. Glad to see others getting an opportunity, though.

I do apologize. I posted that before I'd had my first cup of coffee and was feeling like an a$$hole (which, coincidentally, is what I came off as).

Carry on.

Hahaha. I've made nearly the exact same apology several times on this thread. Pre-coffee posts are dangerous creatures.

Hi all, come here for a spoiler-free experience of the September 12th, 2012 iPhone Event! This thread will contain the official live keynote stream (if one is available). Please don't post any rumors/speculation. Until then, feel free to pass the time here.

Rules
- Do not mention any current rumors/new rumors
- Do not talk about Fight Club
- Do not mention Apple's stock price
- Do assume everyone in this thread has heard nothing about iPhone Event
- Use common sense when posting
- Do not say what was not in the Keynote (ex. "They didn't update the AppleTVs!!")
- Be Patient! ;)

Also if someone does post spoilers please report them via the button located on the left of each post. Please do not quote the offending post.

Thank you very much, i always want these spoiler-free post every keynote day!

I for one always appreciate these threads and use them every keynote!

For people that dont "get" it, the point of these is to bookmark them before the event and then after the live announcement you just go straight to them and then you're able to watch the keynote unspoiled without having to go to the main page and seeing the news. It's like a safe bunker from the apocalypse.

Where I live, the keynote is 3am so I just wake up around 7am and refresh these threads until the keynote is live and avoid the rest of the internet in the meantime. Then once I've watched the keynote, go to the Apple website and look at the porn shots and full specs.

Then go onto the forums and read all the reactions and salty Fandroid tears

This actually made a bit of sense to me... And the fandroid tears gave me a good laugh.

Spoiler free is the way to go! So exciting to watch the keynote without being spoiled by live blogs! :)

Bookmark this thread and return straight to it on the 12th to find out where you can watch a video of the keynote.

You won't have to click through the home page or numerous thread on the forum which are certain to be talking (spoiling) all the new announcements.

There's nothing to talk about here now, but it's good to know it'll be a safe place to return to in a few days.

I thought I understood the point of this thread, but I didn't think to bookmark it, so I guess it didn't see the full value until now.

Thanks, I plan on trying to do this. But some of the discussions I have had to today make me not want to wait at all.

I don't believe there has ever been an official keynote stream until after the event is complete, usually later that evening

Great for all those wanting to watch it later but definately not for me.

I'm going to follow the keynote blog then get my order in straight after so I get in the first batch of deliveries.

Ahh cool, found this thread already :)

I'll get home tomorrow just in the middle of the keynote, so I would get spoiled on every single website searching for this thread. :)

Bookmarked.

iPod event 2010 was live.

There were one or two live streams from Apple in the past couple years (as mentioned). But since the WWDC '10 issue (where the WiFi didn't work well during Steve's iPhone 4 keynote), I'm guessing Apple is reluctant to do another live stream ever.

This is a pretty cool idea for a thread. Personally, it isn't for me, but I can see why people find it useful. Maybe I'll try it in the future, but at this point it is too late for me to try and stay spoiler free when we're so close. I hope all of you don't succumb to the allure of that mistress known as a live blog. Cheers!

What the average time before the keynote is released usually? Because if it's 3+ hours after the event has started then I won't be able to watch it until about 20 hours later while getting spoiled by other people around me, but I can avoid the news for about that long.
So what I mean is that if the event would start at 1pm then 3 hours after would be 4pm, not 3 hours after the event is done.

This thread should be on the Front page

This thread should be on the front page of Macrumors so that other spoiler-free enthusiasts such as ourselves can congregate together here...it took me some time to find this thread...would've been easier if it was on the front page

The Official "Apple iPhone 5 Unveiling" Waiting Room/Watch Party Roll Call Thread

September 12 is D-Day! Apple will most likely be announcing the iPhone 5, if the invite is anything to go by. If we're lucky and it actually exists, we may see the iPad mini as well. Personally, if the iPhone 5 is anything like the mock-ups shown I'll be sad.. It's great if they do finally break out of the 3.5-inch mold but a new design is also a must. Do post all your iPhone 5 related queries, doubts and rumors here instead of posting new threads. What are your thoughts?

Hello thread :D I'm on holiday in Aus so the keynote is at 3am (?) here, so I'll be going spoiler free for the first time ever!

Anyone know if the keynote is in a format viewable on iPhone? Otherwise this is largely pointless for me :p

Spoiler-Free since 2007, thank you FSMBP.
Waiting for the obligatory MacRumors post and Voidness to make an appearance.

in the past, Voidness usually makes an appearance by this time and has updated his page....kinda interesting that we are sooooo close to the actual event and that Voidness hasn't made an appearance...

It's funny. I've been back to using my motorola droid from 2010 and can't get this thing right for the life of me. miss my iphone

Bookmarked. Thanks for this thread, and here's to hoping that Voidness updates the awesome Keynote Checker.
