It's nice. But as long as Siri doesn't understand what I want to hear it makes no sense to tell her where.
German SIRI is a joke and very frustrating. It's english pronunciation of e.g. titles or artists is worse than that of my 80+ year old father.
And if you want to hear something that is not standard she doesn't understand it.
Same with those new radio stations.
I own three HomePod and so far I'd rate them 4 out of 10.

Now that Spotify users got their Siri support, they will now complain that Spotify can't be used as the default music service for Siri 🤷‍♂️
I usually side with Apple on things but they should allow us to choose which apps we use by default. On a Mac I could set Chrome as my default browser. They should allow it on iOS 13

Works great!!! Between this, the better battery life and much improved camera on my 11 Max, and the computational photography improvements (Deep Fusion) in the pipeline, there is no more reason for me to consider switching to Android. Happy happy...

Better than nothing. I still can’t believe Apple thought withholding Siri from Spotify would drive Apple Music sales. Anyway hopefully this means Siri can now be used with Apple Music on Sonos devices.
We don’t know that they did; you’re assigning intent as fact when you cannot know that. I find it more likely it was a matter of engineering and building out the APIs, as we’re seeing here in a major version number release. As a dev myself I can tell you, things are always more complicated than they seem.

I already show it on my Apple TV 4K. You have to go into the App Store>Purchased, and you should see it under “Not on This TV” or “All Apps”, assuming you’ve previously downloaded the iOS version.

Does not appear to use Spotify connect for login, uses a standard pairing code.

Uses the standard tvOS top-navigation and search UI

Step 1: update the Spotify app on iPhone, so it will appear in Apple TV...

There is no Spotify app in usa tvOS app store and neither in not on this tv section. I’ve spotify installed on my iPhone for a long time

I'm not getting it either.

Updated the app on my phone (works with Siri). Restarted phone and Apple TV. Nothing.

Logged out of iCloud, logged back in. Nothing.

Turned on Automatically Install Apps (on Apple TV). Deleted Spotify from iPhone. Restarted both devices. Reinstalled Spotify on iPhone. Nothing.

At this point, I blame the dumpster fire that is tvPOS 13.0 (and assuming it's only
tvPOS beta testers in this thread that were able to install Spotify on Apple TV).

Any news on google play. It comes bundled with YouTube red so why pay for another service.

Wake me up when iOS and iPadOS are more than just conduits for Apple services. I should be able to decide which browser, mail app, maps app, music app, etcetera are the defaults for the triggers that summon those tools. I shouldn't have to specify every time.

HO-LY CRAP! I knew this day would come but all at once?! They delivered 4 out of my 5 feature requests at the same time! This just stopped me switching over to Apple Music. Now...deliver Offline Music Streaming on Apple Watch and we're alllllll good Spotify

Good news for customers! Spotify is way better than Apple Music!
I'm sure it's unrelated to the law suit against Apple's monopolistic tactics.

I am sure it IS related, Apple felt the heat from the EU, it was and in many ways is unfair business practices.

You might read that post again, he said you CAN set it on his Mac.

FINALLY! 😍 But can someone clarify... can we ask Siri on HomePod to play music from Spotify, or still only use AirPlay as it currently is?
