Spotify is globally rolling out "Daylist," a personalized playlist that adapts and evolves to your listening habits as you go about your day.

Available to both free and paying users, the playlist has actually been available in English-speaking markets since September of last year, and expanded to 65 more countries in March. Today, the company is adding support for 14 additional languages, making Daylist accessible to all markets in which Spotify is available.

According to TechCrunch, Daylist is now available in Arabic, Catalan, French (Canada), French (France), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), and Turkish.

To access the Daylist in Spotify, navigate to the "Made for You" section in the app, or use this link if you're on the web. According to Spotify, the playlist uses data from "niche music and microgenres" that users listen to at certain times of the day to suggest tracks and update itself. Graphics for the Daylist also adapt throughout the day.

Individual Daylist playlists can also be saved by tapping the three dot menu, selecting "Add to Playlist", and then tapping "New Playlist." Daylists also include a built-in sharing feature designed for social media that comes with a ready-made screenshot, personalized sticker, or customizable sharecard.

This AI created feed things will never work as intended and normally are created you to become more attached like suggestions in Instagram, Shorts (Youtube), TikTok... the algorithms are the real devil. It's sell like to fit you, it really just makes you an addict.

What I want in a music service is an AI that is able to capture the feel of a song instead of just suggesting "this is what people who like this song are listening to", because that latter approach seldom unearths songs that I enjoy.

Music "DNA" was a thing years ago and does just that. Pandora uses it.

I've been using the Daylist feature off and on the past year, along with Spotify's AI DJ (which I find is a more useful service). However, Spotify really turned me off after announcing they're ending support for their Car Thing without any transition plan so I am very tentative about becoming too attached to anything new they're implementing.

Is it just me or is Spotify's U/X an absolute mess?

I have such a hard time finding music or playlists.
And don't get me started on that Apple Watch app.

All I want is a smart playlist feature: I name a few songs I like, the mood, the length, the setting (eg gym, beach, home, car) and voilà I have a customized playlist. I mean, this can't be that hard, right?

Is the DJ still around? It disappeared from my and my wife's Spotify.

Canceled Spotify yesterday after the volume slider debacle. I’m done with this company. Moving to Apple Music when the Spotify sub ends. Is SongShift still the preferred playlist mover-over?
