I just saw these this morning when I launched the AM app to listen to some music. Tried out Energy and Feel Good so far and I’m a fan.

I’ve had Spotify’s Daylist in the app for a while now. Was it in beta prior?
SAME! I’ve had the energy one going all morning!

I find the discover weekly playlist good for finding new artists, but agree completely with others that say that the playlist building recommendations are not all that good. In fact, randomized sampling from my like list might produce better results (as at least I like those songs).

No. I just want to see my library, my music and hide all the curated stuff. 🤷🏻
Or just throttle back the “Discovery” features. I like to discover new music s l o w l y while listening to what I’ve curated myself. One or two good new songs a week is all I want to see.

The visual cacophony of Apple Music‘s home screens is off-putting.

I find the Daylist to be very useful at both playing what I like and introducing new music. The DJ is pretty amazing but I would like different voices and a verbose option so that you could get interesting snippets about the tracks occasionally (a feature that still has me listening to radio for classical music).

Canceled Spotify yesterday after the volume slider debacle. I’m done with this company. Moving to Apple Music when the Spotify sub ends. Is SongShift still the preferred playlist mover-over?
Would be nice if Spotify was required to provide an easy, native way to export your data to a competing service, since they have 56% of the music streaming music market in the EU, but for some reason music streaming wasn't included in the DMA. Wonder why that is - I was told the EU cares about promoting competition above all else. I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Spotify is an EU company.

What's good for the goose is apparently not good for the gander in the EU.

Adapts to your daily playlist...uh-huh. Call my cynical, but it sounds more reinforcing/training you to adapt to certain kinds of music. Bread and circuses, y'all. The Illuminati/Free Masons/Council of Twelve/New World Order/whatever just want to make you more compliant and easier to control.😲 *adjusts his foil hat*

There are neurodivergent folks (ie. autistics and some abby normals) who find comfort in routine. While I'm high functioning (easier for you to deal with me, but not easier for me to deal with you) autistic, I can't listen to the same stuff everyday. Hail, I've got a huge collection of symphonies, operas, video game music, background music from shows, J-Pop, Vietnamese music, Chinese music, modern musicals and so on. I listen to what strikes my mood at the time. There have been days where I listen to silence.

Okay, so, I have a playlist of about 200 songs. Why is it that "DJ X" insists on playing a tiny fraction of that list? Is it because the record companies secretly force Spotify to play what they want instead of what you want?

SongShift is my preference, but I bought it in 2018 before the price skyrocketed.

Spotify is based in Eu why would they go after Spotify.
EU wants free money from American tech companies.

I'm clearly the in the minority here, but I've been using this feature for about a year and really like it 😅😅 About 60% of the time it is a great list, includes loads of songs I haven't heard before, and has very amusing playlist names that may or may not say something about me as a listener. One of my favorite features. And if it is a bad list? I just ignore it.

Me too, not that I use Spotify much these days, now, and again I will use the free version on my Echo dots as it will play different things than Amazon Music.

I listen to Boom Radio more these days, this is a UK radio staion, and it plays my type of music, and it is free.

i am thinking of rip[ping my CDs and sticking them on a MP3 player or even on my Nas.
