Oh yay. A touchscreen style UI for a non-touchscreen device. Feels a lot like change simply for the sake of...Oh no, they've removed almost everything from the sidebar and buried things :/
Narrator: "It does not."I wonder if it has apple silicone support...
Is it just me or did Spotify copy Apple Music design?
Isn't that the fault of the record labels who don't distribute the money properly, or at all in many cases?About time, they really needed it. Now if they would just pay the artists fairly!
Thanks!For those people that don’t want to wait for the official rollout.
The new UI is in the past 30 versions of Spotify already and can be activated by adding the follow line to your Prefs file
ui.experience_override="xpui"
Make sure Spotify is closed when adding this line.
~/Library/Application Support/Spotify/prefs
Apple music needs to get their act together with the software. It’s slow, tons of network latency, buggy, and the interface works like microsoft from the early 2000’s. Does anyone at Apple actually use this software and like it?
The playlists at Spotify stink compared with apple. they both have huge catalogs. Just get the software right Apple.
Spotify has never had a "light theme".Ugh, 300 MB for a music player. Probably because it embeds Chromium.
Also why is it using a dark theme when I don't have that selected in preferences.
Hit ⌘ + F and the filter box will appearHow do you search within an already created playlist? The ”filter” box seems to have been removed
That's not a good thing.Spotify has never had a "light theme".
That was during playlist navigation, it's only at 10-20% during playback....................
Is it possible to edit the prefs file to revert to the old UI? The new one is horrible.For those people that don’t want to wait for the official rollout.
