Oh no, they've removed almost everything from the sidebar and buried things :/
Oh yay. A touchscreen style UI for a non-touchscreen device. Feels a lot like change simply for the sake of...
Is there a method of providing customer feedback?

About time, they really needed it. Now if they would just pay the artists fairly!

Still sucks. No direct output to HomePods, etc, you have to stream from your computer. Works on google, so they are not too stupid to understand the concept. Hard pass

I wish Spotify would leave my repeat choices when changing a song. Yes sometimes I like to listen to a song a couple of times in a row. Everytime I change the song, I have to reset that repeat function.

Only in the new age SaaS design world is a "design overhaul" basically just adding more wasted space via unnecessary padding and removing submenus and controls that were there to ease the process of maintaing and exploring a music library.

I hate so many of today's software fundamentals: Electron sluggishness, wasteful design choices, and no labels on anything. People need to go back to basics and have a look at old iTunes releases.

It's not a native app. It's a web app, which shares the design idea from the new nerfed iOS app.

For those people that don’t want to wait for the official rollout.

The new UI is in the past 30 versions of Spotify already and can be activated by adding the follow line to your Prefs file

ui.experience_override="xpui"

Make sure Spotify is closed when adding this line.
Thanks!
Just to help others to find your Prefs file it will be in:
Code:
~/Library/Application Support/Spotify/prefs

Don't you just love when desktop apps using embeded web technologies, especially chromium, so efficient, over 100% CPU usage will do wonders for battery life:

That was during playlist navigation, it's only at 10-20% during playback....................

Apple music needs to get their act together with the software. It’s slow, tons of network latency, buggy, and the interface works like microsoft from the early 2000’s. Does anyone at Apple actually use this software and like it?

The playlists at Spotify stink compared with apple. they both have huge catalogs. Just get the software right Apple.

Can't say I agree with this - Music is a brilliant app. The way it can seamlessly manage my master music library is perfect. A mix of 3rd party Apple lossless files, my own tracks, unreleased stuff - 40% of my library isn't on Apple Music at all and it gets uploaded and synced like everything else and you can't even tell the difference - it all looks native. Spotify can't come near that level of integration. Beautiful HD artwork, my own naming convention, all organised neatly and easily searchable.

Is it possible to edit the prefs file to revert to the old UI? The new one is horrible.
