The web app hasn't been loading for me for the past day or so. Anyone else able to access open.spotify.com/ ?

EDIT: Fixed it by deleting the older open.spotify.com cookies

I wonder if it has apple silicone support...

It does not have Apple Silicon support. Still shows as "Intel" in Activity Monitor.

Worse, it's much slower than the old Spotify version. Lots of lag when starting up, switching between tabs, etc.

How do you search within an already created playlist? The ”filter” box seems to have been removed

There's a tiny magnifying glass icon near the right-hand-side of the Playlist view. Click it and it expands into a search bar which will, with a lot of lag, filter the playlist.

Overall I think this Spotify update is terrible, but that's mainly due to how slow and clunky it is on my M1 Mac. Maybe they will release an update for Apple Silicon which will help resolve that.

The "Spotify Helper (Renderer)" task uses a ton of CPU (fluctuating between 25% and 60% on my M1 Mac), and constantly appears in "Apps using significant energy", even if Spotify is not in the foreground.

You have to actively remember to hide the Spotify app to get it to calm down.

I got this update today and, good god, it's awful. The previous Spotify desktop app was one of the best pieces of software I used, and I used it every day. Now it's just a web wrapper it's slow, clunky and the information density is so much lower.

I don't know if it's possible, but is there a way to keep the older one from auto-updating?
