So they make up for it by sending you lots of emails promoting their offers every week. The word still gets out.
I don't get any emails or solicitations from my Spotify subscription and rarely get anything fro anywhere else. I always opt out of them when signing up to a site.

I'm a long term, loyal Apple enthusiast. However, until they clean up their cluttered, confusing interface, fix the nagging issues with what I've purchased, what I've imported from CD and what is on Apple Music, and finally fix the streaming issues, I will remain with Spotify.

I gave Apple Music 3 months. There were a few things I really liked but more often Han not, I'd tap on a song to play it and nothing would happen. I'd have to do the sign out/in, restart phone, toggle cellular/wifi dance.
Not something I want to do while I'm at the gym trying to focus.

I never have this problem with Spotify.

That certainly doesn't sound like a good experience. Though I have to admit I've never really grasped the whole complaint over the interface. Sure it's not the best I've ever seen, but I wasn't a huge fan of Spotifys either when I was a subscriber.

Guess I'm in the lucky minority, I've never had streaming issues with Apple Music...... Yet :D

The interface doesn't bother me, my playlists are easy to find, my music library is easy and has everything I want in it, search works, the new section sometimes throws up some interesting stuff, couldn't care less about Connect so I ditched that in settings in favour of having quick access to my playlists.
